The potential sources of hope:
Becoming a Hope Carrier

A true expression of the hope that Jesus is placing within us “And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.” (Psalm 39:7)
If it is the nature of God to bless (which it is!), then in what ways does he want to bless the ministry right now?
How is this source of hope superior to the other sources mentioned above?
If God so loved the world that he sent his Son (which he did!), then in what ways does he want to express that love for this world through the ministry at this point in time?
It relies on his power not our activity :Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.” (Psalm 62:5)
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:16-17)
It is not blown off course by events “Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.” (Romans 12:12) “That is why I am suffering here in prison, But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.” (2 Timothy 1:12)
“He will bless those who fear the Lord, both great and lowly.” (Psalm 115:13)
If God keep his promises (which he does!), what promises can you call to mind that bring hope to your ministry? “He made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever.” (Psalm 146:6, NLT)
To think through: How can you increase hope in the group or ministry that you lead right now, whether this is a season of plenty or a season of great testing? How might you express that hope without resorting to hype, manipulation or dishonesty?
