KINGFISHER FAMILY - THE NEW ONLINE COMMUNITY • New churches being planted, and the Mayor of Rio
The mission of Kingfisher Family is to support, equip and connect believers around the world to reach lost people and see them transformed into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Today we are reaching into more countries than ever, seeing this mission expanding and growing in amazing ways. Because of the ever-increasing reach of this family, we are always looking at ways to communicate and connect more effectively.

Josel Termulo, together with his vibrant, growing congregation (Glorious Christ Church) has a Godgiven vision to build a church facility that will seat thousands.
It is that ongoing commitment that has led us to launch a new social media page (‘kingfisherfamily’) and, from Friday 25th October, a new website (www.Kingfisherfamily.org). Both the facebook page and the new website will make it a lot easier to stay in touch with all that is happening around the world. If you are on Facebook, all you need to do is ‘like’ the facebook page and you will automatically receive updates. If you visit the new website, you will be able to access leadership newsletters, international updates, free messages via our YouTube channel, teaching resources (many of which are free) and a lot more.
• National Director in Malawi, Charles Mithowa has a vision to establish a Bible Training Centre with accommodation and classrooms to train, equip and commission many to plant churches and preach the gospel, both in Malawi and in surrounding nations.
• In Zimbabwe, we are partnering with Pastor Joseph Maravanyika to focus this year’s Harvest Appeal to enable local families to fight back against starvation and hopelessness by providing chickens to rear, to eat and to sell.
Crucially, there is opportunity, both on the Facebook page and on the Website for people around the world to get in touch, update us on what God is doing in their church or ministry and invite prayer. Effective community flourishes when we communicate with each other, and as we see in the International Day of Prayer, it is so encouraging to know that there are people praying for us and for our ministry, and so encouraging to know that we can make a Kingdom difference worldwide too. There are so many great initiatives happening around the Family:
And there is so much more! A wonderful ministry of reconciliation and healing developing in Northern Ireland, the incredible growth of Treasure Seekers, a Social Enterprise in the UK that reaches out to vulnerable adults and those struggling with addictions, which now reaches over 2000 people on a weekly basis - there is so much to keep in touch with in there Kingfisher Family community!

Kingfisher Harvest Appeal 2019 This year, we shall be focussing on one of the poorest countries in the International family – indeed, one of the poorest countries in the world – Zimbabwe. This month, inflation has hit 300% and is still rising. The country is on its knees, with people starving, unemployment rampant and children being excluded from school because their families have not got a hope of affording school fees. So, we shall be getting involved with a specific project that Pastor Joseph Maravanyika (our contact in Zimbabwe) can oversee, to put some power into the hands of local farmers to be better able to provide for themselves.
This is a project that will enable families to become more self sufficient and to generate an income in what is a very challenging environment. Our aim is to raise $2000 US (which is around £1700). The project that we shall be partnering with Pastor Joseph on is to enable the purchase of chickens, for local families to rear and sell. Each chicken costs $1 to buy and we would aim to enable them to purchase at least 500 chickens. In addition to this, we shall be seeking to provide exercise books to be given to children in need, and bibles for pastors.
Kingfisher church plants in Malawi Report from Charles Mithowa I am here very happy to report about the new Kingfisher churches which have been planted under Pastor Alex Steven Bango in the Chikkwawa district. I have been on a tour to visit the new churches. Pastor Alex (standing next to me in the top photo) is a very faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ who is doing great things in the unreached villages. The first church is known as Tabwa Kingfisher Church. People in this community are living in the hills on the boundary of Malawi and Mozambique. When I was visiting this place I was so amazed to see how God is keeping His people in this area. They are living a very difficult life where it is so hard to be visited by the Government and church organizations. I am expecting to continue training these leaders to catch the vision and ministry of Kingfisher International Family. They are very much blessed to be part of this Kingfisher network of churches.
their church buildings. Please, pray for God to help them to cover the cost as they are working hard to build a new building. They need the support of £500 to buy poles, nails wires and iron sheets to put a good roofing for each of their churches. Both communities are living in great hunger as cyclones made a great damage to their field and crops. There is nowhere to get food and the children are suffering greatly. Please, pray for God’s provision for His people in this area.
The second place I visited is Mkhwangwa Kingfisher Church planted last January. The people at this place are also very much pleased to be part of Kingfisher International Family of Churches and have given themselves to vision of reaching the lost with the gospel and making disciples. This community is located in the flat area of the Chikwawa district where a great number of people were affected by floods when cyclone and heavy rains affected this area.
Lastly, though they are in a terrible situation they are still working hard to prepare for the next planting. They are in great need of inputs like seeds, hoes, watering canes and fertilizers to be supported to have successful farming which will bring great harvest next year to come out from poverty and hunger. Please be praying for us as so that God should intervene in this situation.
I am here also to share with you prayer requests as I have seen in both of these communities. Both churches are operating outside as cyclones destroyed

Dumagat Education Program update In May this year James and Norlie visited the Dumagat Tribe. They went to see the land at Sibug where all five of the shelters are now occupied by our pupils and their families.
Pastor James blessed the DEP pupils with traditional Mano. Mano is an honoring-gesture used in Filipino culture performed as a sign of respect to elders and as a way of requesting a blessing from the elder. Similar to hand-kissing, the person giving the greeting bows towards the hand of the elder and presses their forehead on the elder's hand.
In June this year, instead of the usual food suplies the DEP gifted the students with new backpacks and school supplies ready for the start of new school year.

Prayer needs around the International Family The Philippines
Zimbabwe Calvary greetings from Zimbabwe! We would like to thank you brothers for praying for us as a nation, as we are going through life challenges due to political clampdown. Almost every company is closing down and civil servants are no longer able to go to work as their salaries can not afford them to go for work. People are dying in their homes. Everything is at standstill. Due to this situation we as a local church have set aside every Tuesday as a day of praying and fasting for the nation. Our major prayer requests are: • That we have a God fearing government that demonstrate heartfelt concern to it's people and that despite the economic hardships people are giving themselves to Christ. • On 16th-23rd of December we have a revival week to encourage and strengthen each other in the face of a polarised economical situation.The theme: Destined for Greatness - Genesis 26:1-4,12-14. As we trust and believe in THE GOD OF PROMISE. Pastor Joseph Maravanyika
• We praise God for His protection in all calamities happened during rainy season and we are now excited for the coming summer, that we can go out again to preach the Gospel outside. Despite of the hardships and financial constraints the church continue serving and doing God given task mandated to us. Many members got sick in doing the ministry but thank God protection and healing always there. • Our Country prayer needs: The ellimination of African swine virus that kills livestock and the low price of rice that makes farmers poor that even their needs cannot meet. Please pray for our goverment to make this problem solve by the power of God almighty. • Churches prayer needs: please pray for Lordslight 13th anniversary celebration. We invited all goverment officials in our town and lots of people and youth as well will come. May the Lord touch their heart and they accept Jesus as Lord and saviour. We are also praying blessings for the construction of new church building in Pantay, that God sends blessings for this cause. • Faith targets forthe next 12 months: that a lot of people accept Jesus, especially the youth. The renovation of the Rio Chico building because its getting small. To start and finish the church building in Pantay so we can start a worship in that place. God bless you all, Pastor Noel Delfin
Malawi I am happy to give you a report, on what God has done to us. God has helped our gathering to transform our center with building project. Today I am also happy to tell you, that the church has so far managed to raise money enough to buy steel windows. Today I can report to you, that now we have managed to buy 13 steel windows of three glasses, and two steel windows of six glasses. All the steel windows has costed 212 thousand Malawian Kwacha (£286). And we have also managed to buy one steel door which costed us 70 thousand Malawian Kwacha (£100). Now we are praying God to help us, so that we can raise money to meet the remaining things, and surely completing our church project. We are praying for the provision of two steel doors, glass for windows and doors, electrical wiring, electricity installation and 100 plastic chairs. In total, we will need £1,400 to complete the church project. God is always faithful to His servants, and we are so happy for everything we have achieved so far, and we believe that God will also be so faithful on the remainings.
