“THIS WORK IS GOOD WORKCARING FOR THE WHOLE PERSON, IN COMMUNITY, WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT.”
- REV. KENDRA SMITH

Dear Friends and Partners,

“THIS IS WHAT THRIVING COMMUNITIES LOOK LIKE.”
- REV. MATTHEW L. WATLEY

Every time we witness firsthand the work our organization is doing for people and with people, it brings us immense gratitude and joy. To see families shopping for groceries together, to see people trying on clothes and smiling because of how it looks and makes them feel, to see the hundreds of families we serve daily—this does our heart good because we know we are contributing to our community in a meaningful way. This work is good work. Many people never have the opportunity to be part of something bigger than themselves— contributing to others in ways that matter, walking alongside people in their journey, addressing not just immediate needs but supporting every aspect of wellbeing, providing help with dignity and respect.

In January 2025, we opened the first two floors of the Kingdom Care Center, launching Kingdom Global CDC’s direct care services in this nearly 100,000 square foot facility. Throughout 2025, we launched integrated program areas working synergistically to address the whole person: our Welcome Center, Fresh Food Market, Clothing Center (soft-launched in December), and Economic Empowerment and Innovation Center, which reached over 500 participants through our inaugural New Economic Reality conference.

Through our East County Hub—operated for four years in partnership with Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services—we provide mobile food pantries, service connections, and health and wellness programming throughout East Montgomery County. This sustained partnership demonstrates confidence in our capacity to deliver comprehensive, coordinated support.

A significant milestone was signing the lease with Holy Cross Health, our first anchor partner, who will establish a primary care center opening in spring 2026. As we continue building out the remaining four floors and securing additional program partners, we are actively seeking organizations committed to workforce development, IT certification training, community health clinics, senior services, adult education, and youth development. Continued capital investment will be essential to complete the build-out

and realize the full potential of this Regional Resource Hub.

This work is made possible through extraordinary partnerships. We extend deep gratitude to the State of Maryland for their substantial investment in our Regional Resource Hub model, and to Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services for their continued confidence in our East County Hub operations. To our dedicated staff—your professionalism and compassionate service are the foundation of our success. Our 660 volunteers contributed nearly 20,000 hours in 2025, demonstrating that sustainable community change requires collective commitment. To our community partners—you make it possible to truly address the multifaceted needs of the families we serve.

The response to the Care in Action Capital Campaign has been deeply encouraging. Launched in June with a $5 million, twoyear goal, we raised over $1.8 million by year’s end, reflecting strong community confidence in our mission.

When we review our 2025 outcomes—44,674 individuals served through food programs, over 2 million pounds of nutritious food distributed, 235,000 diapers provided to young families, 500 participants engaged in economic empowerment programming—we are reminded that these numbers represent real people experiencing real transformation. This is what thriving communities look like. This is care in action.

The Board is committed to responsible stewardship of all resources entrusted to us, managing them wisely and operating with transparency to deliver measurable impact. As we look toward 2026 and beyond, we are confident that the foundation we have established positions us for expanded impact. We have the vision, the partnerships, and the community support to complete the Kingdom Care Center and serve at even greater scale while maintaining the quality and dignity that define our approach.

The Kingdom Care Center stands as a symbol of what is possible when community, government, philanthropy, and dedicated service providers come together with shared purpose. As we complete this facility and welcome additional partners, it will become an even more powerful hub of hope, resources, and comprehensive care.

Thank you for your partnership in this vital work. Thank you for believing in the inherent dignity of every person. Thank you for investing in communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

With gratitude and commitment to our shared mission,

Kingdom

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

2025 was a transformational year for Kingdom Global Community Development Corporation (Kingdom Global CDC). After three years of careful planning, design, and construction, we soft-launched the Kingdom Care Center on January 28, 2025, establishing a Tri-County Regional Resource Hub dedicated to serving the most vulnerable residents of Prince George’s, Montgomery, and Howard Counties.

This milestone marks a significant step forward in our mission to care for the whole person and build communities where everyone thrives. OUR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

WELCOME CENTER & SERVICE NAVIGATION

The Welcome Center serves as the vital entry point for all Kingdom Care Center services. Our professional staff of community health navigators and care coordinators take time to understand each visitor’s unique needs and circumstances. Through personalized consultations, we connect community members with appropriate services and supports, including registration for our Fresh Food Market and Clothing Center. Our navigation approach ensures that no one falls through the cracks. We coordinate with partner organizations, make referrals, and follow up to ensure community members successfully access the resources they need.

Food Insecurity Programs Food Donors

Fresh Food Market

Our flagship Fresh Food Market revolutionizes traditional food pantry services by offering a client-choice shopping experience. This 10,000 square foot facility is designed as a modern grocery store, allowing families to select foods that match their nutritional needs, family size, and cultural preferences. The market emphasizes fresh produce, proteins, and nutrient-dense foods, ensuring that families facing food insecurity have access to the same quality of food as any grocery shopper. All services are provided at no cost to eligible families, maintaining dignity and respect throughout the shopping experience.

Food donors play an integral role in our ability to provide a diverse selection of freshfood options to the communities we serve.

Their contributions span a wide range of items — from fresh produce and dairy to ready-made meals —ensuring that families have access to nutritious, high-quality food regardless of their circumstances.

In 2025, the Kingdom Care Center Fresh Food Market was proud to partner with 13 donor organizations whose generosity directly enhanced the lives of families throughout our community.

These partnerships are a cornerstone of our mission and a powerful testament to what is possible when organizations come together with a shared commitment to service.

Navigation

The East County Hub provides an integrated service delivery model that includes mobile food pantries at seven strategic locations throughout East Montgomery County, connections to community services, benefits enrollment, health and wellness programming, and a network of partnerships with public and private organizations serving East County residents.

Recognizing that transportation can be a barrier to accessing services, our neighborhood-based distribution points bring fresh food directly to apartment complexes, schools, and recreation centers,

ensuring that vulnerable families can access nutritious food close to home.

The Fresh Food Market serves as the central distribution hub, efficiently receiving, storing, sorting, and deploying food to all mobile pantry locations.

The monthly Diaper Distribution responds to a hidden crisis affecting millions of families nationwide. The average infant requires 8-12 diapers daily, costing families $70-$80 monthly. For low-income families, this represents a significant financial burden. The Diaper Distribution has saved approximately $30-35 per family.

Clothing Center

Launched on December 20, 2025, the Kingdom Care Clothing Center addresses clothing insecurity with the same dignity-centered approach that defines all our programs. This innovative center provides affordable, quality clothing to families facing financial challenges while creating an elevated shopping experience that restores confidence and reinforces dignity.

The Clothing Center removes barriers caused by clothing insecurity by providing access to appropriate attire for work, school, and daily life. Our thoughtfully organized shopping experience helps families maintain dignity while accessing quality clothing at prices they can afford.

Economic Empowerment and Innovation Center

The Economic Empowerment and Innovation Center represents a major milestone in Kingdom Global CDC’s mission to create pathways to economic opportunity. Made possible by a $500,000 grant from the T.D. Jakes Foundation, this center addresses systemic barriers to economic mobility through entrepreneurship, small business development, career support, and financial education.

EEIC is a regional initiative designed to help close the racial wealth gap across the Washington Metropolitan Region. EEIC provides a pathway from idea to enterprise, offering business incubation, mentorship, and the technical assistance entrepreneurs need to launch and scale thriving businesses. With a focus on communities facing systemic barriers to wealth creation, EEIC is equipping individuals to transform

their financial futures.

This year marked significant milestones for EEIC. We hired our Founding Director, Tene Dolphin. We launched the inaugural conference, The New Economic Reality, bringing together nearly 400 entrepreneurs, professionals, and national community leaders for a transformative day of learning, connection, and action. We graduated our first Blueprint Incubator cohort, directly investing over $20,000 in entrepreneurial ventures through scholarships, program support, and pitch competition prizes. We expanded our programming to include targeted career workshops for federal workers navigating unprecedented workforce transitions, and we deepened our financial education offerings through real estate and estate planning seminars.

COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS & SERVICE NAVIGATION

At the heart of Kingdom Global CDC’s Regional Resource Hub model is comprehensive service navigation—connecting individuals and families not only to our direct services but to a broad network of community resources that address every dimension of wellbeing. Throughout 2025, our multi-site approach enabled us to meet people where they are, build trusted relationships, and create multiple pathways to support.

Operating across two counties— Kingdom Care Center, located in Prince George’s County, MD and the East County Hub, mobile sites across the Eastern Region of Montgomery County, MD— we delivered 47 distinct events and activities that served as entry points to comprehensive support.

2025 Community Engagement Impact

Health & Nutrition Education

Through workshops, one-on-one navigation, and community partnerships, our Health and Nutrition Education initiatives serve as a bridge connecting families to the knowledge, services, and support systems that strengthen the overall health of our community. 47

Education is a cornerstone of our service navigation model and a fundamental component of how Kingdom Global CDC approaches community wellness. We believe that lasting change begins with knowledge and that every family deserves the tools and information necessary to make informed, confident decisions about their health and well-being. Rather than solely addressing immediate food needs, we invest in the whole family by equipping community members with practical education on nutrition, preventive healthcare, and access to available benefits and resources. This holistic approach empowers individuals to not only meet their needs today, but to build healthier, more sustainable lives for themselves and their families long into the future.

Workshop Programming

Workshop participants received not only education but tangible support: fresh produce, $25 Giant gift cards, Kingdom Cares care packages with toiletries, and access to Fresh Food Market shopping. This integrated approach ensures families leave with both knowledge and immediate resources.

Resource Days: Connecting Communities to Comprehensive Support

Resource Days are designed to bring community resource partners directly to the families we serve, eliminating barriers to access and creating a welcoming, centralized space where individuals can receive support across a variety of critical areas. From health and wellness services and governmental assistance to utility support and case management, these events ensure that community members can address multiple needs in a single visit without the burden of navigating numerous agencies and appointments on their own.

LOOKING AHEAD: 2026 AND BEYOND

Building on the momentum of 2025, Kingdom Global CDC is poised for continued growth and expanded impact. Our vision for the future includes:

Expanding Service Capacity

As demand for our services continues to grow, we will increase the capacity of our Fresh Food Market, add on-line grocery shopping, grocery delivery services for seniors, scale our mobile markets at surrounding schools, and expand Clothing Center services to include expanding our hours of operation and partnerships. We anticipate serving 50,000+ individuals through our food and clothing programs in 2026.

Strengthening Economic Pathways

The Economic Empowerment and Innovation Center will expand programming to include job placement services, advanced entrepreneurship training, and partnerships with employers seeking diverse talent. Our goal is to help 200+ individuals secure employment or launch businesses in 2026.

Enhanced Health Integration

We will deepen health programming through expanded workshops on chronic disease management, mental health support, and preventive care. Stronger partnerships with healthcare providers will enable on-site screenings and direct connections to medical care as Holy Cross Hospital will open a Primary Care Center in Spring 2026.

Kingdom Care Center Expansion

Planning is underway for the Kingdom Care Center, which will add dedicated spaces for the EEIC and additional wrap around services and supports. This expansion will transform the Center into an even more comprehensive community resource.

Data-Driven Impact

We will measure what matters by implementing enhanced data collection systems to better understand client outcomes over time. This will enable us to demonstrate longterm impact, identify gaps in services, and continuously improve our programs.
