Seeking Leadership Team to Plan Master Gardener Plant Sale Booth at Tilth Alliance's
Spring Plant Sale
What we need: We need a planning team to prepare us to host our plant sale booth the Tilth Alliance Spring Plant Sale on May 10-11
This is an excellent opportunity to build leadership skills, support a key fundraising initiative, and connect with the Foundation and Program community We are seeking 8 volunteers with leadership skills or event planning experience to develop a plan to:
Coordinate with Tilth and our Program’s leadership to ensure a smooth operation
Work with MG plant donors to answer questions
Develop logistics to receive and transport plant divisions to Tilth’s sale site in early May
Develop pricing strategies, and a plan to stage and set up our 30’ x 10’ space where we will market our plants
At the appropriate time, recruit about 12 MG volunteers to staff the booth during the event itself
Coordinate planning with both the Program and Foundation, including our Communications Team
Volunteer hours may be recorded as Program Support in GivePulse
Special Skills Needed:
Leadership, planning and organizational skills – experience is wonderful but we expect everyone will learn more!
Ability to coordinate with donors, Tilth leadership, and volunteers
Basic administrative skills, and a plus if you have spreadsheet or other analytic skills
Possible light physical lifting near the date of the sale
Date: Planning will begin in early February Event days: May 10–11, 2025
Time and Duration: Virtual meetings will begin in February with a time commitment of approximately 3–4 hours per week prior to mid-April, with additional hours the weeks leading up to the sale
Location: Most planning meetings will be on Zoom The sale itself will be at Tilths home in the Wallingford area of Seattle

Looking for Donations for Bellevue Demonstration Gardens Annual Spring Plant Sale
What we need: The Bellevue Demonstration Garden’s annual spring sale is on May 10, 2025 and they are seeking Master Gardener volunteers who are part of BDG to donate good quality perennials such as grasses, hostas, ferns, natives, ground covers, etc planted in one gallon pots, labeled, and prepared with high quality commercial potting soil
We ask that you perform divisions and re-potting by early March to ensure plants are growing and ready for the sale
Guidelines and helpful plant selection tips will be provided in a document when you sign up
Volunteer hours may be recorded as Program Support in GivePulse
Special Skills Needed: Ability to divide and re-pot plants following specific guidelines we provide

Time and Duration: Whatever time allowance you want to give this project on your own schedule
