Day One: Autumn is the perfect time to head to Tucson—one of the most vibrant and diverse cities in the American Southwest. We’ll begin our day with a visit to Mission San Xavier del Bac. Known as “The White Dove of the Desert,” this stunning National Historic Landmark was founded by Father Eusebio Kino in 1692, and the current church structure dates to the late 1700s—making it the oldest intact European building in Arizona. The richly decorated interior features remarkable statuary and murals that offer a glimpse into 18th-century Spanish Colonial life. From there, we’re off to Casino Del Sol, a luxurious AAA Four-Diamond resort and TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner. After checking in and taking some time to refresh, you’ll enjoy lunch on self, with multiple on-site dining options, including the Festa International Buffet—offering everything from Asian stir-fry to Italian favorites, a carving station, fresh salads, and decadent desserts. Later that afternoon, we’ll visit Kitt Peak National Observatory, home to 23 optical and two radio telescopes—making it the largest and most diverse collection of astronomical instruments in the Northern Hemisphere. Located high on the Tohono O'odham Nation in the Quinlan Mountains, the observatory sits at nearly 7,000 feet and offers pristine dark skies ideal for stargazing. As part of the Nightly Observing Program, we’ll begin at the Visitor Center to explore engaging exhibits and enjoy a light meal (choice of turkey, vegetarian, or gluten-free sandwich) before joining a docent-led introduction to astronomy and the night sky. We’ll then step outdoors for a guided session on identifying stars and constellations with high-powered binoculars. Because temperatures drop quickly at this elevation, it’s important to wear warm clothes, pants (not shorts), closed-toe walking shoes, and a jacket. The evening continues inside one of the telescope domes, where we’ll view deep-sky objects through a powerful research-grade telescope—an unforgettable evening of exploration under the stars. Day Two: Breakfast is on self at the hotel, with several food outlets available for a relaxed and easy start to the morning. Then we’re off to the Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium, located on the beautiful University of Arizona campus. Established in 1975, Flandrau has long been a place where science meets curiosity—offering thoughtfully designed exhibits and immersive experiences that explore everything from astronomy and space exploration to geology, energy, and optics. Two ﬂoors of science exhibits invite you to explore our vast and fascinating universe— both here on Earth and beyond our solar system—while showcasing real University of Arizona research. We’ll enjoy a private showing in the Eos Foundation Planetarium Theatre, a recently renovated space featuring a 4K fulldome projection system, surround sound, and premium stadium-style seating. After our time at the planetarium, we’ll head to Gentle Ben’s Brewing Company for lunch on self. A longtime Tucson favorite since 1971, Gentle Ben’s offers both indoor and patio seating—making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a great meal before we begin our journey home.

Havasu Balloon Festival January 22nd–24th, 2027

$829 per person (Based Upon Double Room Occupancy) +$249 Single Supplement Day One: We’ll leave the Valley and make our way to Lake Havasu City, with a stop for lunch on self and plenty of great sightseeing along the way. Upon arrival, we’ll check into the Holiday Inn Express, conveniently located in English Village near the iconic London Bridge and just steps from restaurants, shops, and entertainment. After some time to refresh, we’ll head out for a delicious early Welcome Dinner at Angelina’s Italian Kitchen, where we’ll enjoy a three-course meal with several entrée selections, a glass of red or white wine, and dessert included. After dinner, we’re off to the balloon field for the spectacular Balloon Glow, when pilots ignite the burners of their tethered balloons and the night sky comes alive with enormous glowing balloons. Later, we’ll return to our hotel and enjoy a free evening in Lake Havasu City during festival weekend. Day Two: Breakfast is included at the hotel before we head out early to experience one of the festival’s most exciting events—the Mass Ascension! Watch as colorful hot-air balloons take to the morning sky, creating an incredible display over Lake Havasu. Afterwards, we’ll have time to explore the Havasu Balloon Festival, featuring tethered balloon rides, food vendors, live entertainment, and plenty of festival fun. Early afternoon, we’ll head to Laughlin, Nevada, where resorts line the Colorado River and offer gaming, shopping, entertainment, and a wide variety of dining choices. Enjoy lunch on self and a leisurely afternoon exploring Laughlin before we return to Lake Havasu City. The evening is yours to enjoy, with dinner on self and several restaurants within easy reach of our hotel. Day Three: After an included breakfast at the hotel, it’s bags out and we’re off to explore Oatman, one of Arizona’s most colorful old Route 66 towns! Once a booming gold-mining community, Oatman nearly disappeared when travelers moved from historic Route 66 to Interstate 40. Today, the little town is famous for its Wild West character and the friendly burros that wander freely through the streets—descendants of the burros once used by local miners. We’ll have time to stroll the historic streets, browse the quirky shops, see the famous Oatman Hotel, where Clark Gable and Carole Lombard famously spent time following their 1939 wedding, and, of course, meet Oatman’s resident burros. Afterwards, we’ll begin our journey back to the Valley, with a stop for lunch on self and plenty of great sightseeing along the way. Monument Valley & Canyon de Chelly October 5th-7th, 2026 $999 Per Person (Based Upon Double Occupancy) $215 (Single Supplement) Day One: We’ll travel north with a stop for lunch, on self, at Cameron Trading Post. A haven for travelers since 1916, this trading post boasts an expansive dining room, with a huge stone fireplace and tall picture windows, offering a view of the Little Colorado River Gorge. We’ll enjoy the ambience, along with a terrific menu that runs from burgers to salads, and includes local favorites. After lunch we’ll explore the Grand Canyon via the East Entrance at Desert View, offering a unique opportunity to visit the world-famous Desert View Watchtower. Later we’ll travel to beautiful Monument Valley, check into our rooms at Goulding’s Lodge, and after a refresh, gather for a fabulous Welcome Dinner. We’ll experience an extraordinary evening showcasing a traditional Navajo Storyteller, while enjoying a delicious Navajo taco buffet, served with homemade frybread and all the ﬁxin’s, included. Day Two: Breakfast is included at the hotel. Later we’ll set off on a 2.5 hour jeep tour, covering more than 30 miles of secluded back-country, to discover the restricted areas of Monument Valley, a sacred homeland to the Navajo, who are the Keepers of Monument Valley. We’ll learn about the history of the Ancestral Puebloans, early Native American peoples, famously known for their petroglyphs, pictographs and their spectacular cliff dwellings. We’ll visit all of the famous monoliths of Monument Valley—The Mittens, John Ford’s Point, Three Sisters, North Window, Totem Pole, Yei Bi Cheis and Artist’s Point. These are the real life backdrops for Hollywood Westerns such as Stagecoach, The Searchers, How the West was Won, and so many more. Afterwards we’ll enjoy lunch, on self, before boarding our Transits headed for Canyon de Chelly and the Thunderbird Lodge. Owned and operated by the Navajo Nation, the historic Thunderbird Lodge will be our cozy headquarters for the night. We’ll take some time for a refresh before setting out this evening for our own driving exploration of the South Rim of Canyon de Chelly. Later we’ll return to the hotel for dinner, on self. Thunderbird Lodge sits on the site of a trading post that was built in 1896. The restaurant, housed in the trading post’s original building, famously serves traditional Native American dishes, along with American favorites. Day Three: Breakfast is included at the hotel. After breakfast jeeps will arrive to take us on a half-day tour of Canyon de Chelly. We’ll be led by our Navajo guides, who will explain the significance of man-made structures and symbols while also sharing the natural points of interest. Heavy-duty six-wheel-drive touring vehicles are equipped with padded seats to provide a good experience. The tours stop frequently for photo opportunities, to visit ancient sites, Navajo farms and rock art. When the tour is over we’ll head back to the hotel for a buffet style lunch, featuring all-America favorites, included. After lunch it’s back in the Transits, and we’re headed for home, with plenty of stops and great sightseeing along the way. We hope you’ll join us for this remarkable tour!

Upon arrival, meet your Tour Director and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. Overnight: Raleigh, NC DAY 2: RALEIGH – ATLANTIC BEACH This morning, enjoy a Raleigh City Tour featuring the State Capitol Building, historic Downtown, and the Victorian neighborhood of Oakwood. Later, travel south through the cypress trees and longleaf pines of Croatan National Forest to Atlantic Beach for a two-night stay at your waterfront hotel. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers. (B,D) Overnight: Atlantic Beach, NC DAY 3: NEW BERN – CRUISE – BEAUFORT Travel north to New Bern to visit Tryon Palace, North Carolina’s first permanent state capital, where governors ruled, patriots gathered, and George Washington danced. See the birthplace of Pepsi-Cola, invented by a local pharmacist in 1898. Then enjoy an Inner Banks Lunch Cruise to view charming historic homes, working waterfronts, and possibly see dolphins and wild horses along the banks. Later, explore the town of Beaufort, established in 1709 and the state’s third-oldest town. Visit the two-acre Beaufort Historic Site, which depicts 18th- and 19th-century coastal Carolina life and occupies the center of a 12-block area listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Then enjoy time to shop or grab a treat along historic Front Street before returning to Atlantic Beach. (B,L) Overnight: Atlantic Beach, NC DAY 4: OCRACOKE ISLAND – NAGS HEAD Today, travel to Cedar Island to board a ferry across the Pamlico Sound to colorful Ocracoke Island. The town has the feel of a New England village with a semi-tropical climate. The afternoon is at leisure to explore, grab a bite to eat, and shop. Later, ferry to Hatteras Island to see the famous candystriped Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the tallest brick lighthouse in the United States. Then arrive at your beachfront hotel in Nags Head for a relaxing three-night stay. (B) Overnight: Nags Head, NC DAY 5: ROANOKE – WRIGHT BROTHERS This morning, cross over to Roanoke Island for a visit to Fort Raleigh, home of the first English settlement in the New World. This was the "Lost Colony," founded by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1585, predating both Jamestown and Plymouth. Then visit the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills, where, after four years of scientific experimentation, the brothers achieved the first successful airplane flight on December 17, 1903. Enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers in the Nags Head area. (B,D) Overnight: Nags Head, NC DAY 6: COROLLA – NATURE SAFARI Enjoy breakfast before heading north along the narrow strand to the historic town of Corolla. Until the development boom of the 1980s, Corolla was a little-known town often referred to as North Carolina’s last beach frontier. Today, it is a popular upscale beach vacation destination. Visit Whalehead Club, a beautifully restored 1920s Art Nouveau-style residence, and see the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, the unpainted structure that is the last brick-and-mortar lighthouse built in North Carolina. Next, embark on an Off-Road Nature Safari in specially designed vehicles as you search for wild horses, seabirds, and foxes along the shore. Return to your hotel before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D) Overnight: Nags Head, NC DAY 7: NAGS HEAD – EDENTON – RALEIGH Motorcoach west this morning to Edenton, North Carolina’s secondoldest town, to see the historic and cultural sites of the downtown area. Visit the Edenton Cotton Mill Village, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Continue to Raleigh and tour the North Carolina Executive Mansion, a Victorian-style residence that has been home to North Carolina’s governors since 1891. The bridge is closely tied to the story of David Gowan, a Scottish prospector who is credited with discovering it in 1877 while reportedly hiding from Apaches. Captivated by the beauty of the area, Gowan later encouraged family members to settle nearby. The historic Natural Bridge Lodge, connected to the Gowan-Goodfellow family and still standing today, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Founded in 1876, it grew from a copper-mining camp into the fourth-largest city in Arizona Territory, with a population that once approached 15,000. After major mining operations ended in 1953, the population fell below 100, but artists and preservationists helped give the town a fascinating second life. In 1966, the Jerome Historic District was designated a National Historic Landmark. October is an especially fun time to visit this spirited mountain town! Jerome proudly embraces its ghostly reputation, even presenting an annual October Ghost Walk that brings infamous characters and mysterious tales from its mining days back to life. We’ll begin with an included lunch at the Haunted Hamburger, a family-owned Jerome favorite known for tasty burgers, sweeping views of the Verde Valley, and a ghostly story or two. According to restaurant legend, hammers mysteriously disappeared during renovations— only to reappear later in conspicuous places—inspiring part of the restaurant’s delightfully haunted lore. After lunch, enjoy free time to explore Jerome’s historic streets, colorful shops, art galleries, and wine-tasting rooms. One of the town’s strangest landmarks is the famous Sliding Jail, which was carried downhill from its original location by the severe ground movement that once plagued the mining town. Unlike a traditional zoo, the sanctuary does not buy, sell, trade, breed, or allow public interaction with its animals. We’ll visit the famous and historic U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the oldest military academy in the country. Trace the footsteps of Presidents, Generals, and other great leaders as we tour the campus and enjoy a brief film presentation about this prestigious institution. Later, we’ll visit the historic and scenic Boscobel House & Gardens. The 1808 house is located in the heart of the Hudson Valley and is widely regarded as one of the finest examples of Federal-period architecture, furniture, and decorative arts. Late this afternoon, we’ll check into our Hudson Valley area property for a three-night stay. (B) Overnight: Hudson Valley Area

DAY 5: Hudson Valley, Hyde Park & Crown Maple Syrup: This morning, we’ll travel to Hyde Park for a visit to the FDR National Historic Site to learn more about the lives and careers of President FDR and his wife, Eleanor. We’ll enjoy a tour of the well-preserved estate featuring the home, museum, library, and graves of Franklin and Eleanor. This afternoon, we’ll visit and tour a maple syrup farm, a state-of-the-art sugar house where we’ll trace the miles-long journey of organic maple sap from tree to barrel. The popular sweet tour culminates with a tasting and a view into the bottling and sugar-making operation. (B) Overnight: Hudson Valley Area DAY 6: Hudson Valley, New Paltz, Kingston & Hudson River Cruise: This morning, we’ll visit New Paltz to tour Historic Huguenot Street, a National Historic Landmark District featuring the oldest street in America, including original architecture dating to the early 1700s. Later, we’ll visit the quaint and former railroad hub city of Kingston, New York’s first capital city, which was burned by the British on October 16, 1777, after the Battles of Saratoga. This afternoon, we’ll depart from Kingston on a scenic Hudson River Cruise. Relax and enjoy clear views of historic Hudson River lighthouses, waterfront mansions, and other notable locations on this sightseeing cruise. Tonight, we’ll enjoy a Farewell Dinner with our fellow travelers at a popular local restaurant. (B, D) Overnight: Hudson Valley Area DAY 7: Depart for Home: Today we’ll travel back to the New York City area to fly home, filled with wonderful memories of New York City and the Hudson River Valley.
