Day One: We’ll leave the Valley with plenty of comfortable rest stops as we make our way west toward the California
coast. Midday, we’ll stop in Yuma for lunch on self at the iconic Lute’s Casino, a longtime local favorite serving classic comfort food in a lively historic setting. This afternoon we’ll continue on to Carlsbad, a laid-back coastal community known for its beautiful beaches, ocean breezes, and relaxed Southern California charm. Perfectly positioned between San Diego and Temecula Valley Wine Country, Carlsbad offers the ideal home base for our spring getaway—less crowded than downtown San Diego, yet rich in scenery, sunshine, and easy coastal living. Its mild spring weather and welcoming atmosphere make it a favorite place to settle in, unwind, and truly enjoy the journey. We’ll check into the Holiday Inn Express Carlsbad, our home for the next three nights. The hotel offers comfortable accommodations and a full hot breakfast each morning. After time to refresh, we’ll gather for a Welcome Dinner, included, the perfect opportunity to relax, get acquainted, and officially kick off our springtime adventure together.
Day Two: Breakfast is included at the hotel. After breakfast, we’ll head north into the gently rolling hills of Temecula
Valley Wine Country, where vineyard-covered slopes, equestrian countryside, and wide-open views set the tone for a beautifully relaxed day. Spanning more than 33,000 acres, Temecula Valley is Southern California’s largest wine-growing region and one of its most welcoming. Unlike busier wine destinations, the atmosphere here is unhurried and friendly— perfect for enjoying good wine, comfortable seating, and lovely scenery without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Our day unfolds along three of Temecula Valley’s most scenic wine trails, each offering a different perspective of the region. We’ll begin along the picturesque De Portola Wine Trail, winding through the area’s equestrian district. Here, we’ll enjoy a leisurely seated wine tasting paired with lunch, giving everyone time to settle in, visit, and savor both the flavors and the views. The afternoon continues along the well-known Rancho California Wine Trail, home to some of the region’s most established wineries, followed by a scenic visit along the Calle Contento Wine Trail, where hillside vineyards and sweeping valley vistas provide a peaceful and memorable conclusion to our wine country experience. All wine tastings and lunch today are included. With comfortable tasting rooms, thoughtful pacing, and plenty of time to sit, sip, and enjoy the surroundings, this is wine country at its most enjoyable—easygoing, scenic, and meant to be savored. Late afternoon, we’ll return to Carlsbad. This evening, we’ll offer a convenient shuttle to the nearby Windmill Food Hall, where, with a variety of local food vendors, casual seating, and a full bar, it’s an easy and flexible option for dinner on self, a light bite, or simply relaxing and visiting with friends .
Day Three: Breakfast is included at the hotel. After breakfast, we’ll set out to experience one of Southern California’s
most anticipated signs of spring. For more than six decades, The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch have welcomed visitors with a spectacular burst of color. Nearly 50 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus spill across the gently rolling hillsides, creating sweeping bands of color set against the blue of the Pacific Ocean. Our visit is comfortably paced, with time to enjoy the walking paths, explore the artist gardens and greenhouse, browse the Armstrong Garden Center, and take the beloved tractor-pulled wagon ride, a longtime local tradition that offers a wonderful overview of the fields and their history. Late morning, we’ll travel south to San Diego for lunch on self in the inviting neighborhood of Little Italy. Known for its relaxed atmosphere and wide variety of cafés, bakeries, and restaurants, Little Italy offers an easy and enjoyable place to dine, stroll, and soak in the coastal energy of the city. Following lunch, we’ll board the Old Town Trolley Tours for a narrated sightseeing experience that brings San Diego’s highlights to life. From the comfort of your seat, you’ll enjoy views of Balboa Park, the historic Gaslamp Quarter, Old Town, the Embarcadero, and the iconic Hotel del Coronado. It’s a wonderful way to see the city’s most famous sights without the need for extensive walking. Late afternoon, we’ll return to Carlsbad after a full and beautifully balanced day. This evening is yours to enjoy at a relaxed pace—whether you choose to unwind at the hotel, enjoy a simple nearby meal, or order in and take it easy after a wonderful day of sightseeing. It’s a perfect opportunity to rest and recharge for our journey home.

Canyon Country: Horseshoe Bend Rafting & Antelope Canyon April 6th—8th,2026 $799 Per Person (Based Upon Double Room Occupancy) $225 (Single Supplement) Day One – Journey to Page, Arizona We’ll leave the Valley this morning as we head north toward the cool mountain air of Flagstaff. Late morning, we’ll enjoy lunch on self in historic downtown Flagstaff, where a wide variety of local restaurants, cafés, and familiar favorites offer something for everyone. After lunch, we’ll take a little time to explore the charming streets of Flagstaff, lined with galleries, bookshops, and interesting local stores, before continuing on toward Page, Arizona. As we travel north, the scenery gradually opens up to wide desert vistas and striking rock formations, making for a scenic and enjoyable drive. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Page, where the Colorado River meets Lake Powell. We’ll check into the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Page–Lake Powell, our home for the next two nights. After some time to settle in and relax, we’ll head out for dinner on self at the The Dam Bar & Grill, a longtime local favorite offering a wide variety of classic comfort dishes. After dinner, enjoy a free evening. Day Two – Horseshoe Bend Raft Trip on the Colorado River Breakfast is included at the hotel before we set out for one of the most memorable and scenic experiences of the tour. This morning we’ll travel to Lee’s Ferry to begin our Horseshoe Bend Raft Trip, operated by Wilderness River Adventures. This smooth-water float offers a wonderfully relaxing way to experience the dramatic beauty of the Colorado River and Glen Canyon—perfect for travelers who want adventure without whitewater. Our journey begins with a short drive through the historic Glen Canyon area before boarding a comfortable motorized pontoon raft. Once on the river, we’ll enjoy approximately three hours on the water, floating through one of the most scenic stretches of river in the American West. Towering sandstone cliffs rise more than a thousand feet above the river, creating a peaceful yet aweinspiring setting. Along the way, our professional river guides provide engaging narration, sharing stories of the region’s geology, Indigenous history, and early river exploration. We’ll pass petroglyph sites, watch for wildlife, and take in unforgettable views as the river winds its way toward the iconic curve of Horseshoe Bend—all from the calm comfort of the raft. Lunch is included on this day, along with bottled water. Late afternoon, we’ll return to Page with time to freshen up before heading out for dinner included at the Gone West Restaurant. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, live country music, and hearty Western-inspired cuisine, Gone West is a longtime favorite and a fun, relaxed way to end the day. Our included dinner features a garden salad, entrée, dessert, and soft drinks, with a variety of options to choose from. (Alcoholic beverages available for purchase.) After dinner, we’ll return to the hotel to enjoy a free evening. Day Three – Lower Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend Breakfast is included at the hotel before it’s bags out and we’re off for an unforgettable morning exploring some of the most iconic scenery in the Southwest. Today we’ll visit Lower Antelope Canyon, located on Navajo land and accessible only by guided tour. While Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon are part of the same slot canyon system, the experience in each is quite different. Lower Antelope Canyon is shaped like a “V,” allowing more light into the canyon and creating beautiful layers of color, curves, and textures throughout the passageways. Many visitors consider it the more adventurous of the two, with narrow corridors and fascinating twists and turns around every corner. As you consider this experience, it’s important to know what to expect. There are several sets of stairs leading into and out of the canyon, totaling approximately 130 steps altogether. These stairways are made of metal and include sturdy handrails on both sides. The initial descent is steep, and guests are welcome to take their time. Our local Navajo guides are there every step of the way to assist and encourage you. Thousands of visitors travel through Lower Antelope Canyon each year and make it through just fine—if you’re comfortable navigating stairs in your daily life, you can do it here as well. After our canyon tour, we’ll stop to take in the breathtaking views at Horseshoe Bend—this time from above. Having experienced the dramatic curve of the Colorado River from the water the day before, this overlook offers a completely different perspective and a chance to truly appreciate the scale and beauty of this iconic landmark. Early afternoon, we’ll begin our journey home with a stop for lunch on self at the historic Cameron Trading Post, where the expansive menu offers something for everyone and there’s time to browse Native American arts and gifts. We’ll then continue home with scenic stops along the way, bringing our remarkable adventure to a close.

Tombstone & Bisbee Overnight Getaway February 19th—20th, 2026 $359 (Based Upon Double Room Occupancy) $108 (Single Supplement) Day One: Tombstone, The Gadsden Hotel & Dinner in Bisbee We’ll begin our adventure heading south and make our way into Tombstone, the legendary Town Too Tough To Die. Once one of the most notorious towns in the Old West, Tombstone still feels like stepping into a living history book— complete with wooden boardwalks, historic saloons, and colorful stories on every corner. You’ll enjoy lunch on self at one of Tombstone’s classic eateries, such as the lively Big Nose Kate’s Saloon, before taking time to explore the town at your own pace. Many travelers enjoy visiting the Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park, an easy and fascinating stop with exhibits, a historic courtroom, and a short stroll through the gallows yard. Others may choose to step into the famous Bird Cage Theatre, a preserved 1880s saloon and gambling hall full of frontier history. If you prefer a more relaxed pace, wandering the Allen Street boardwalks, browsing shops, and soaking in the Old West ambiance is always a great way to spend the afternoon. The Tombstone Epitaph Museum is another quick and enjoyable stop, offering a free look at the town’s original newspaper pressroom. As we depart Tombstone, we’ll make a brief stop at Boothill Graveyard, one of Arizona’s most iconic cemeteries, known for its colorful headstones and sweeping desert views. From here, we’ll continue on to Douglas to check into the historic Gadsden Hotel, famed for its Italian marble staircase, soaring columns, and stunning Tiffany-style stained-glass mural. A favorite of filmmakers, historians, and travelers, the Gadsden remains one of Arizona’s most iconic historic hotels. After time to refresh, we’ll make the short drive to Bisbee for an included dinner at Café Roka—one of Southern Arizona’s most celebrated restaurants. Known for its elegant atmosphere and beautifully prepared multi-course meals, Café Roka offers an unforgettable evening in Bisbee’s historic district. After dinner, we’ll return to the Gadsden for a relaxing night.
Day Two: Bisbee Mine Tour, Free Time & Return to the Valley After an included breakfast at the Gadsden, we’ll make our way back into the Mule Mountains to experience the famous Copper Queen Mine Tour. Guided by locals—many of them retired miners—we’ll head underground to explore the tunnels and stories that transformed Bisbee into one of the richest mining districts in the American West. The Copper Queen Mine Tour is considered one of Arizona’s most unforgettable living-history experiences. Once we return topside, the rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy Bisbee at your own pace. This remarkable hillside town grew rapidly in the early 1900s as one of the largest copper camps in the country, and today it’s known for its preserved architecture, narrow winding streets, art-filled storefronts, and colorful personality. Spend your afternoon browsing shops, exploring galleries, or simply taking in the charm and character of this unique mining town. Lunch is on self during your free time. Before we head back to the Valley, we’ll take a short driving tour through Bisbee, passing a few notable points of interest—including the historic church and nearby neighborhoods—to enjoy a final look at the town’s charm before we begin our journey home. This getaway is wonderfully paced—no rushing, just two days of stories, scenery, and the spirit of the Old West.

Monument Valley & Canyon de Chelly April 13th-15th, 2026 $999 Per Person (Based Upon Double Occupancy) $215 (Single Supplement) Day One: We’ll travel north with a stop for lunch, on self, at Cameron Trading Post. A haven for travelers since 1916, this trading post boasts an expansive dining room, with a huge stone fireplace and tall picture windows, offering a view of the Little Colorado River Gorge. We’ll enjoy the ambience, along with a terrific menu that runs from burgers to salads, and includes local favorites. After lunch we’ll explore the Grand Canyon via the East Entrance at Desert View, offering a unique opportunity to visit the world-famous Desert View Watchtower. Later we’ll travel to beautiful Monument Valley, check into our rooms at Goulding’s Lodge, and after a refresh, gather for a fabulous Welcome Dinner. We’ll experience an extraordinary evening showcasing a traditional Navajo Storyteller, while enjoying a delicious Navajo taco buffet, served with homemade frybread and all the fixin’s, included. Day Two: Breakfast is included at the hotel. Later we’ll set off on a 2.5 hour jeep tour, covering more than 30 miles of secluded back-country, to discover the restricted areas of Monument Valley, a sacred homeland to the Navajo, who are the Keepers of Monument Valley. We’ll learn about the history of the Ancestral Puebloans, early Native American peoples, famously known for their petroglyphs, pictographs and their spectacular cliff dwellings. We’ll visit all of the famous monoliths of Monument Valley—The Mittens, John Ford’s Point, Three Sisters, North Window, Totem Pole, Yei Bi Cheis and Artist’s Point. These are the real life backdrops for Hollywood Westerns such as Stagecoach, The Searchers, How the West was Won, and so many more. Afterwards we’ll enjoy lunch, on self, before boarding our Transits headed for Canyon de Chelly and the Thunderbird Lodge. Owned and operated by the Navajo Nation, the historic Thunderbird Lodge will be our cozy headquarters for the night. We’ll take some time for a refresh before setting out this evening for our own driving exploration of the South Rim of Canyon de Chelly. Later we’ll return to the hotel for dinner, on self. Thunderbird Lodge sits on the site of a trading post that was built in 1896. The restaurant, housed in the trading post’s original building, famously serves traditional Native American dishes, along with American favorites. Day Three: Breakfast is included at the hotel. After breakfast jeeps will arrive to take us on a half-day tour of Canyon de Chelly. We’ll be led by our Navajo guides, who will explain the significance of man-made structures and symbols while also sharing the natural points of interest. Heavy-duty six-wheel-drive touring vehicles are equipped with padded seats to provide a good experience. The tours stop frequently for photo opportunities, to visit ancient sites, Navajo farms and rock art. When the tour is over we’ll head back to the hotel for a buffet style lunch, featuring all-America favorites, included. (D) Overnight: Dearborn Day Two: FORD FACTORY & VILLAGE This morning, visit the famous River Rouge Plant, a modern marvel of 21st-century manufacturing where Ford F-150 trucks are built. Then, visit the Henry Ford Museum, known as the greatest auto collection documenting the American experience. See the Rosa Parks bus, the chair in which Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, the limousine where President Kennedy was shot, and much more. Step back in time for a two-night stay at The Grand Hotel, Mackinac’s finest and most famous resort property. The Grand Hotel provides an elegant dining experience for dinner this evening. Stop to experience the White Water Walk, which offers a firsthand look at the Niagara River’s powerful whitewater rapids. Walk along a quarter-mile boardwalk with incredible views that will take your breath away. Later, experience the legendary Niagara Falls Boat Tour for an up-close encounter with the aweinspiring, thundering falls. Other than the falls themselves, this boat excursion is the most famous attraction in the area. JANUARY TOURS “Southwest Adventure Series”
Historic Yuma January 5th, Monday……………..……..….….…$134 Eighty years before the Pilgrims stepped foot on Plymouth Rock, Europeans were living in Yuma—the safest place to cross the mighty Colorado River for hundreds of miles. Yuma is rich with multicultural heritage and amazing historic sites, including the notorious Yuma Territorial Prison, our first stop on this exciting tour. Authorized in 1875, with a construction budget of $25,000, the Yuma Territorial Prison only operated for 33 years, but that was long enough to leave behind a fearsome legacy. A total of 3,069 prisoners, 29 of them women, lived within the prison’s granite walls, surrounded by the powerful Colorado River and the unforgiving desert. After exploring the prison, we’ll head to the Colorado River State Historic Park—home to the Yuma Quartermaster Depot—once the beating heart of all military outposts in the American Southwest. At this site, beginning in 1864, on high ground above the Colorado River, the U.S. Army warehoused a six-month supply of food, clothing and ammunition for forts in Arizona, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas, along with more than 900 mules and their teamsters. Ocean vessels brought goods to the Gulf of California, where they were transferred to steamboats for the trip upriver to Yuma, then later dispersed overland by the legendary 20-mule teams. We’ll explore these historic sites, along with downtown Yuma, and we’ll stop by Lute’s Casino for lunch on self. A great favorite with the locals, Lute’s was built in 1901 as a general store, turned into a pool hall in 1920, and is now a no-frills greasy spoon—dishing up cheeseburgers, sandwiches and some traditional Mexican dishes. Discover Kartchner Caverns February 16th, Monday………….……………...$139 Nestled In November 1974, two adventurous cavers, Gary Tenen and Randy Tufts, set out across the limestone hills at the eastern base of the Whetstone Mountains in search of “a cave no one had ever found.” What they uncovered would become one of the most significant cave discoveries in Arizona history. Protecting their find, the pair kept the cave a closely guarded secret for more than three years before finally sharing the news with the landowners, James and Lois Kartchner, in 1978. Recognizing the cave’s extraordinary scientific value—and its vulnerability—both the discoverers and the Kartchner family were determined to safeguard it. Their careful efforts eventually led to a partnership with Arizona State Parks, whose proven stewardship made it possible to preserve this world-class wonder for future generations. Today, Kartchner Caverns stands as one of the most spectacular “live” limestone caves in the world. As water continues to seep through the rock above, delicate formations grow in real time—stalactites stretching downward like shimmering icicles, stalagmites rising like ancient pillars, and rare minerals forming shapes found almost nowhere else. Day One: FLIGHT TO BOSTON Today, fly to the historic city of Boston. Upon arrival, meet your Tour Director and transfer to your Boston-area hotel for a one-night stay. Overnight: Boston area, MA Day Two: BOSTON CITY TOUR – PLYMOUTH – CAPE COD This morning, enjoy a Boston City Tour featuring Boston Common, the Old State House, the Old North Church—where Paul Revere received the signal to begin his famous ride—the Old South Meeting House, Beacon Hill, and Old Ironsides. Visit Faneuil Hall Marketplace, located in downtown Boston near the waterfront and originally gifted to the city in 1742. Later, depart Boston and travel to Plymouth. Visit Plimoth Plantation, an accurate recreation of the Pilgrims’ 1627 village, where costumed interpreters portray colonial residents in this living history museum. Trail of the Ancients Scenic Byway featuring Mesa Verde & Chaco Culture National Parks May 4th—7th, 2026 $979 Per Person (Double Occupancy) +$231 (Single Supplement) The Trail of the Ancients is a modern-day drive that connects the migration routes of America’s first peoples— the Ancestral Puebloans—who occupied a vast region of the American Southwest for over 2,000 years. The only National Scenic Byway that was designated primarily for its archaeological sites, the trail passes through some of the southwest’s most protected places. With no particular right or wrong way to explore this multi-state trail—which the Federal Highway Administration says is 480 miles in total—we’ve planned a route that takes us through the trail’s most iconic sites, including Mesa Verde and Chaco Culture National Parks. Day One: We’ll leave the Valley headed for Farmington, New Mexico, enjoying plenty of pitstops along the way, including a stop for lunch, on self, at the Painted Desert Diner at Petrified Forest National Park. Late afternoon, we’ll check into the Holiday Inn Express, and after a refresh, we’ll head out to enjoy a festive Welcome Dinner, included. Day Two: Breakfast is included at the hotel. Back in the Transits we’re headed for Chaco Culture National Park. Chaco Canyon is home to the densest and most exceptional concentration of pueblos in the American Southwest. The park preserves one of the most important pre-Columbian cultural and historical areas in the United States. Between 850 to 1250 CE (Common Era), Chaco Canyon was a major center of culture for the Ancient Pueblo Peoples. Chacoans quarried sandstone blocks and hauled timber from great distances, assembling fifteen major complexes that remained the largest buildings in North America until the 19th century. 17 centuries of skillfully coordinated construction. Climate change is thought to have led to the emigration of Chacoans and the eventual abandonment of the canyon, beginning with a fifty-year drought commencing in 1130. Chaco Canyon is a World Heritage Site and considered sacred ancestral homelands by the Hopi and Pueblo people, who maintain oral accounts of their historical migration from Chaco and their spiritual relationship to the land. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch, included, while exploring Chaco Canyon. Late afternoon we’ll head back to our hotel, and after a refresh we’ll gather for our own Happy Hour, included, before heading out to enjoy dinner on self. Day Three: Breakfast is included at the hotel. Back in the Transits we’re headed for Mesa Verde National Park. For over 700 years, the Ancestral Pueblo people built thriving communities on the mesas and in the cliffs of Mesa Verde. Today, the park protects the rich cultural heritage of 27 Pueblos and Tribes and offers visitors a spectacular window into the past. This World Heritage Site and International Dark Sky Park is home to over a thousand species, including several that live nowhere else on earth. Early afternoon we’ll travel to historic Durango, Colorado, where we’ll enjoy lunch, on self, with several wonderful restaurants to choose from. Later we’ll visit Aztec Ruins National Monument, a Chaco Canyon outlier, home to some of the best-preserved Chacoan structures of its kind. We’ll learn about the ancestral Pueblo people in the park's museum and explore the Aztec West great house to see exceptionally advanced architecture, original wooden beams, and a restored Great Kiva. Aztec Ruins is a deeply sacred place to many Indigenous peoples across the American Southwest. Early evening we’ll return to our hotel, and after a refresh we’ll gather for our own Happy Hour, included, before heading out to enjoy dinner on self. Day Four: Breakfast is included at the hotel, then it’s bags out and we’re headed for home. We’ll enjoy plenty of great sightseeing along the way, as well as a stop for lunch, on self, at the fabulous La Posada Hotel—the last of the great railroad hotels. The La Posada is home to the award winning Turquoise Room—said to be the best restaurant in the Four Corners region—offering an affordable lunch menu that features regional contemporary Southwestern Cuisine, with an occasional tribute to the great days of the Fred Harvey Company. DAY 1: DEPART THE USA Board your overnight flight to Italy. DAY 2: ARRIVE IN ETERNAL ROME Welcome to Italy! After clearing customs, meet your Tour Director. Continue to Amalfi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
