Robert Boehm writes, “Just over 6 months ago, life changed for my mom in ways none of us could’ve imagined. A joy ride on her motorcycle turned into a nightmare and an accident left her with 3 of her 4 limbs broken. She lost her left leg after more than a dozen surgeries to try to save it, and she’s gone through additional painful surgeries to rebuild her right foot, ankle, and shoulder. Earlier this week, she found out the shoulder surgery failed and today she found out the surgery on her good leg failed also. Now she’ll have to go through it all again.
She’s faced so many delays, unbearable pain, and endless frustration trying to get a prosthetic but she is still pushing forward.
Six months of being immobile and unable to do simple tasks, that most take for granted. Six months of going through hell. Life definitely hasn’t been fair to her but I have no doubt that she will walk again, because giving up isn’t in her. If you can say a prayer for her, I’d really appreciate it. She sure could use them.”
