Welcome Our New Tennis Pro! We are thrilled to introduce and welcome Chip as the newest Tennis Professional at Killearn Club. His arrival marks an exciting addition to our racquet sports program, bringing fresh energy, a wealth of experience, and a deep passion for the game. Chip’s commitment to player development and creating a vibrant, engaging tennis environment aligns seamlessly with the Club’s vision, and we are confident our members will quickly feel his positive impact both on and off the court. Chip brings a strong background in highlevel playing and coaching, along with a genuine passion for developing players and creating engaging, well-rounded tennis programs. Most recently, he served as Assistant Coach for the men’s tennis program at Virginia Tech, where he played a key role in leading daily training sessions, developing match strategy, and providing individualized coaching at the Division I level. Prior to that, Chip was a tennis professional at the Tennis Academy of the South in Atlanta, GA, working with players of all ages and skill levels. His experience spans junior and adult clinics, cardio tennis, and high-performance training, with a focus on building both skill and confidence on the court.
As a player, Chip competed on a full scholarship at Florida State University, earning four letters and achieving First Team All ACC honors in 2005. He also received the Golden Nole Award and helped lead the Seminoles to an NCAA Tournament Elite Eight appearance, which at the time marked the best finish in program history. As a junior, he was ranked among the top 10 nationally in Boys 18s. Chip is committed to delivering a high-quality tennis experience for all members and looks forward to growing the game here at Killearn Club. We look forward to all of you meeting him in the coming weeks as we prepare to open later this summer. Please join us in giving Chip a warm welcome!
