500+ children will come to KIDS Center this year in need of hope and healing.

As our region’s Children’s Advocacy Center, KIDS Center offers a central location where families can receive services and support. We offer no-cost child abuse evaluations, which include a forensic interview and a comprehensive medical exam. A KIDS Center advocate helps each family assess their additional needs and connects them with the appropriate community resources for as long as needed. Our specially-trained therapists help children and families heal and move forward.

Cork & Barrel helps ensure cost is never a barrier to healing. It costs an average of $7,600 to provide child abuse evaluation and treatment services to a child and their family. These costs reflect the full spectrum of services provided by speciallytrained professional staff who support each family’s healing process and the child abuse investigation.

Cork & Barrel raises nearly 20% of KIDS Center’s annual budget, making it possible for every family to receive KIDS Center services at no cost.

Thanks to your generosity at Cork & Barrel, hundreds of Central Oregon children and families will start their healing journey at KIDS Center this year.

Anyone can bid on our Live Auction! If you’re not attending Grand Cru, you can submit a proxy bid and we’ll raise a paddle for you! To place a proxy bid, scan the QR code and submit your bid by noon on Saturday, July 18 or visit the on-site Raffle Station. Questions? Email rvisser@kidscenter.org.

auction guidelines

PAYMENT

1. All payments shall be by cash, credit card, stock, charitable fund, certified check, or personal check made payable to KIDS Center. We accept VISA, Mastercard, and American Express credit cards.

2. Full payment must be made for all purchases at the conclusion of the Auction, unless payment arrangements have been made, such as payment to be coming from a stock or fund.

3. Cashiers, located in the Check-In Tent, will accept payment after the auction, unless Purchaser has previously opted to use the Quick Check-Out method.

QUICK CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT

Quick Check-In saves time by eliminating the need to stop and pay at the Check-Out area at the end of the Auction.

1. At registration, swipe your MasterCard, VISA or American Express card, or give your credit card information to the cashier. NO CHARGES will be issued to your card unless you make purchases or donations. If you opted to keep a credit card on file from your ticket purchase, that credit card will be verified at check-in for easy checkout and payment.

2. Maximize the impact of your gift by covering your 3% credit card processing fee. Just let us know at check-in! (Cork & Barrel credit card fees cost KIDS Center almost $15,000 each year!)

3. Please verify your cell phone number to receive your unique event link. This will ensure only you and your authorized guests are accessing your online Cork & Barrel account and auction previews.

4. At the end of the evening, simply proceed to the Check-Out Tent (the same area where you checked in) to verify and claim your purchases. If no purchases are made, your card will not be charged, and any voided blank checks will be returned to you by mail. On Friday, you can carry any items you won to the Check-Out Tent. Have your bid number ready to verify you are the winner, and you can take your items home.

CONDITIONS OF PURCHASE

1. KIDS Center and the Cork & Barrel Wine Event (the “Seller”) reserves the right to refuse admission to, or attendance by, any person at the Auction or related events.

2. The auctioneer is the agent for the Seller.

3. All wine and other items are sold “as is.” Purchasers must rely only on their own inspection and/or opinion; Seller makes no warranties, expressed or implied.

4. Seller does not warrant or represent, and expressly denies responsibility for, and in no event shall be responsible for, the accuracy or description of wines offered, or the correctness of the catalog, including, but not limited to the origin, rarity, age, genuineness, quality, quantity, or condition.

5. Unless specifically set forth, all auction items expire on July 18, 2027.

BIDDING

1. All bids are per item as set forth in the catalog, unless otherwise announced by the auctioneer.

2. Seller may combine or divide any item(s) at their sole discretion.

3. Auctioneer and Seller have the right to reject any bid at any time prior to the fall of the hammer without liability. If the Auctioneer decides that any opening bid does not correspond with the value of the article offered, the Auctioneer may reject the bid and withdraw the item from sale; and if, having acknowledged an opening bid, the Auctioneer decides that any advance thereafter is insufficient, the auctioneer may reject the advance.

4 No live auction bid shall be valid unless expressly acknowledged by the Auctioneer.

5. The highest Bidder acknowledged during the Live Auction, Silent, or Super Silent Auction shall be the Purchaser and therein assumes full risk and responsibility.

6. By raising a bidder paddle, making a proxy bid, or making a Silent or Super Silent auction bid, the Bidder warrants that s/he will pay the full purchase price if successful.

7. The Auctioneer shall have the absolute right to resolve any dispute, re-offer, resell, or withdraw the lot in question. If any dispute arises after the sale, the Seller’s sale records shall be conclusive in all respects.

8. All items offered for sale may be subject to a minimum price below which such lot will not be sold. That minimum price may be publicly stated or confidential.

9. Silent and Super Silent auction bid closing times will be posted. At close, the highest acknowledged Bidder shall be deemed to have purchased the item.

ITEM PICK UP AND SHIPPING

1. Purchases must be picked up by the purchaser prior to leaving the venue at the conclusion of the Auction. Buyers will receive a receipt listing their purchases and after reviewing and approving the receipt, they will pick up their items.

2. If buyers are not present at the conclusion, buyers may pick up items on Friday, July 24, 2026 at KIDS Center from 9 am–6 pm. Or call 541-383-5958 to make special arrangements.

3. Any item(s) not removed from the venue by the above time will be held for three (3) weeks at KIDS Center, 1375 NW Kingston Ave, Bend, OR 97703. KIDS Center will make an attempt to contact the winning bidder. If the Bidder fails to retrieve the item(s) in question by the end of the three-week period, KIDS Center will assume the Bidder has abandoned the property and relinquished it to KIDS Center, treat the Bidder’s payment as a straight donation to KIDS Center, and seek to make other use of the item(s) that the Bidder has abandoned.

4. Purchaser shall incur all shipping and insurance costs for items not picked up at the conclusion of the Auction. Shipping arrangements are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

5. Out-of-state Bidders shall be familiar with the laws of their locality since shipping regulations, especially those pertaining to beverages of alcoholic content, vary from state to state.

6. In the event of loss or damage to any item incurred in the course of its handling or storage during the auction event and before possession is taken by the Buyer, the Buyer will be compensated as follows: 1) if the item has not been paid for, the exact amount of the bid placed will be subtracted from the Buyer’s purchases; or 2) if the item has been paid for, the Buyer will receive a refund of that bid amount.

Buena Vista Winery’s founder, an exiled Hungarian known as The Count, was a flamboyant vinicultural pioneer in search of “purple gold.” The winery has endured for 150 years, following the imaginative vision of The Count. In 2011, Buena Vista Winery resumed winemaking in the first caves of the California wine world, crafting small-lot wines in open-top oak fermenters with native yeasts and hand punch-downs. In 2012, the winery reopened their historic Champagne Cellars to public tours. Today, Buena Vista Winery produces an impressive array of wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Rosé, and several types of sparkling wines.

Two women winemakers are the power duo behind Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery, a part of Foley Family Wine & Spirits. Winemaker Natalie West oversees the white wines, and Senior Winemaker Rebecca Dieke manages the reds. From a small, 30acre plot of grapes purchased in 1979, to today’s 24 estate vineyards totaling approximately 1,200 acres, Ferrari-Carano owns some of the finest wine growing properties in all of California. Years ago, Ferrari-Carano committed to using sustainable farming practices to create impeccable wines.

An iconic California winery, Jordan Vineyard & Winery is proud to be independently owned by John Jordan, whose parents founded the winery in 1972. The winery makes Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon in the French style, emphasizing the wine’s fruit and acidity rather than its alcohol and tannin. The result is an elegant wine that cleanses the palate and offers balance, complementing one’s meal, rather than overpowering it. Jordan wines owe their velvety nature to a blend of different grower and estate vineyards.

Shielded from the ocean fog on the eastern slopes of Sonoma Mountain, Laurel Glen Vineyard’s vines grow in shallower, rockier soils than their valley floor cousins. These hardier vines produce smaller fruit with a higher ratio of skin to flesh, which delivers more aroma, flavor, and tannin. The result is a more complex and layered wine. Over the years, the vines (determined to be a genetically-unique clone) have been retrained from a sprawling canopy to the more traditional Bordeaux system, called Double Guyot, for more even ripening.

Limerick Lane Cellars sits where four unique appellations come together, on a 30-acre estate just inside the northeast corner of Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley. In an appellation that’s renowned for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Limerick Lane Cellars grows and produces world-class Zinfandel and Rhone Varietals that are powerful and full-bodied but also strikingly fresh and bright. This unexpected combination of characteristics only occurs in their northeastern corner of the valley, where water levels, fog, wind and sun meet.

Martin Ray Vineyards & Winery’s estate has twelve acres of varying clones of Pinot Noir vines, but in pursuit of the perfect wine, the winery also takes advantage of the wine-growing regions that surround them in the Russian River Valley. From dry-farmed, old-vine Chardonnay to Cabernet Sauvignon from the high summits of Diamond Mountain in Napa Valley, Martin Ray Vineyards & Winery sources the highest quality fruit, thanks to carefully-maintained, decades-long relationships with local growers.

The Mauritson family has been farming in the Dry Creek Valley for more than 150 years. The family currently manages 310 acres of vineyards spread across Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley and Rockpile Appellations. The combination of low air moisture, poor soils and moderate temperatures produces superior grapes. Owner Clay Mauritson launched the family winemaking business in 1998. Emma Kudritzki Hall has been serving as Winemaker since 2019 and shares Clay’s belief that the best wines capture a specific sense of place, along with the unique conditions of each vintage.

For nearly a century, the Pedroncelli family has been crafting exceptional wines in Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley. Half of all Zinfandel planted in Sonoma County is in Dry Creek Valley, where ripening grapes are protected from the heat by the evening marine fog. Pedroncelli Winery’s Zinfandel vines were planted in the early 1900s. The winery produces Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Rosé and Riesling, as well as blends like Burgundy, Claret and Chablis. Today, the company is 70% woman-owned, with a woman winemaker at the helm.

Silver Oak Cellars started with two friends and a handshake. Their vision: focus on one varietal, Cabernet Sauvignon. Age it exclusively in American oak. And make it worthy of cellaring for decades to come. Now a national icon, Silver Oak has fueled America’s love affair with Cabernet Sauvignon. After a fire destroyed their historic Oakville winery, the owners seized the opportunity to rebuild a new, state-of-the-art winery.

MEET THE CHEF

Franco Console

Growing up in Southern Oregon, Franco Console was raised in a deeprooted Southern Italian household where the influence of food and family were heavily valued. Franco attended Western Culinary Institute (Le Cordon Bleu) in Portland, Oregon in 2002. Franco has been working in the food industry for more than 20 years, and has been part of the culinary scene in Southern Oregon, where he has had a hand in many restaurants.

Franco is the Executive Chef of Neuman Hotel Group’s Ashland Springs Hotel and Chef de Cuisine of Larks Home Kitchen Cuisine, a winner of Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence in 2022 and 2023. Franco follows his passion and drive for supporting local farm-to-table cuisine. Franco has competed in many culinary competitions, including Iron Chef Oregon. In his off-time, Franco enjoys fishing, motorcycles, and anything outdoors with his family.

The evening’s farm-to-table menu and pairings will be thoughtfully curated by Executive Chef Eric Joppie of Zydeco Kitchen & Cocktails, featuring premium meat sourced directly from Clay Mauritson’s family ranch, Painted Hills Natural Beef in Central Oregon.
