Preparation

1.PET Bottle

Salvage discarded plastic bottles!

2.Cut Band Trim into 2–3 cm wide strips.

4.Heat Wrap

Apply heat to shrink & lock the joint.

3.Texture

Add/Source surface grooves to improve mechanical grip.

1-way Joint

STEPS

1.Wrap PET band tightly around the joint.

2.Ensure all pieces are correctly positioned.

3.Heat evenly, rotating around the band. Avoid overheating.

4.Let cool fully to lock and compress the joint.

1-way Joint (Directional)

STEPS

1.Cut a narrow slit near one end of the PET band.

2.Loop the band around the vertical member.

3.Slide the slanted piece through the slit and pull tight.

4.Heat evenly while rotating around the joint.

5.Let cool fully to lock and secure the joint.

2-way Joint

(Type-A)

STEPS

1.Position members in a cross formation.

2.Wrap PET band around the intersection, centered and flat.

3.Cross-wrap diagonally to resist movement in both directions.

4.Heat evenly while rotating around the joint.

5.Let cool fully to compress and secure both axes.

2-way Joint (Type-B)

STEPS

Cut a centered slit in the PET band.

Loop the band around the vertical member.

Slide the horizontal member through the slit and pull t

Heat evenly while rotating around the joint.

Let cool fully to compress and secure both directions.

3-way Joint (Type-A)

STEPS

1.Align all 3 members at the intersection.

2.Wrap PET band around the core junction, centered and flat.

3.Add a diagonal cross-wrap to resist movement in all directions.

4.Heat evenly while rotating around the joint.

5.Let cool fully to compress and stabilize all 3 axes.

3-way Joint (Type-B)

STEPS

1.Align all three members at the central junction.

2.Wrap PET band around the top intersection, fitting into the slits.

3.Press down to ensure full contact before heating.

4.Heat evenly while rotating around the ring.

5.Let cool fully to compress and secure all three directions.
