The Kentucky Horse Park Foundation proudly presents the twelfth annual Battle in the Saddle Team Penning event. The date for this spectacular event is Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Kentucky Horse Park’s Covered Arena. Teams compete against each other to determine who has the skills and bravery needed to pen a group of cattle in the fastest time. And all of this fun is in the name of charity – to raise funds to support the Kentucky Horse Park!
BATTLE IN THE SADDLE OVERALL AWARDS
Prizes will be awarded to the top three overall teams and ribbons will be awarded, First Place through Eighth Place. Each rider on the First Place team receives the highly coveted Battle in the Saddle silver belt buckle custom designed by Montana Silversmiths.
