#BLACKWOMENLEAD Glynda has spent her career doing one thing with singular focus: harnessing the collective political power of Black women — from the voting booth to elected office. As cofounder and CEO of Higher Heights, the national political home for Black women, she has transformed civic engagement into electoral results on an historic scale. Under her leadership, Higher Heights fueled the election of the first Black woman to the U.S. Senate in over 20 years, helped send 11 Black women to the U.S. Congress, supported the confirmation of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, and bolstered Kamala Harris’ historic path to the Vice Presidency and the Democratic nomination for President. A sought-after political analyst whose commentary has appeared on MSNBC, ABC News, The New York Times, and The Root, Glynda brings to this conversation both the rigor of a strategist and the passion of a lifelong organizer. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and The Links, Incorporated, her roots in community run as deep as her record of results. Her mission — to empower a million Black women and their allies to drive American democracy forward — is not an aspiration. It is a plan already in motion.

Bishop Leah Daughtry Founder, Power Rising Co-Convenor Black Women’s Leadership Collective

#IAMPOWERRISING Leah is a trailblazing political strategist and the only person in Democratic Party history to serve twice as CEO of the Democratic National Convention, in 2008 and 2016. She has also served as Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Labor and the Democratic Party, and as a Resident Fellow at Harvard’s Institute of Politics. A leader across political, civic, and faith communities, Leah founded Power Rising, a national convening for Black women, and co-convenes the Black Women’s Leadership Collective. She is also co-author of the NAACP Image Award-winning For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Politics. Known for creating calm from chaos, Leah has led historic conventions, managed billion-dollar budgets, and helped shape some of the nation’s most consequential gatherings.

Jotaka Eaddy Founder & CEO Full Circle Strategies Founder,

#WINWITHBLACKWOMEN Jotaka’s career began with an act of audacity, becoming the University of South Carolina’s first Black woman Student Body President — and she has never stopped raising the ceiling since. Forbes Magazine called her the “Olivia Pope of Silicon Valley,” and the description holds: she is one of the most consequential architects of Black women’s power in America today. As Founder and CEO of Full Circle Strategies, she has guided transformative initiatives at the highest levels — advising Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Your Vote Campaign, launching Goldman Sachs’ One Million Black Women Initiative (a historic one-billion-dollar investment), and leading the grassroots campaign for The Color Purple Musical Film’s record-breaking Christmas Day release. In 2020, she founded #WinWithBlackWomen, which mobilized 44,000 participants on a single Zoom call, raised more than $20 million for the Harris-Walz campaign, and generated over one billion organic social impressions. Before Silicon Valley, she changed American law: her advocacy helped secure the 2005 Supreme Court decision in Roper v. Simmons, which abolished the juvenile death penalty. Named to Time Magazine’s 2025 Closers, she is, in every sense, a woman who plays for keeps.
