As President & Chief Operating Officer of Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, Claire is committed to ensuring access to safe, high-quality, compassionate care for both yearround and seasonal residents while strengthening the hospital’s role as a trusted community resource. A nurse by training, she leads with a focus on patient-centered care, operational excellence, and high-reliability practices. Claire has held senior leadership positions throughout the Mass General Brigham system, including Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Operations at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, Chief Nursing Officer at Nantucket Cottage Hospital, and Associate Chief Quality Officer at Massachusetts General Hospital. Known for her collaborative leadership style, she is dedicated to supporting the healthcare workforce, strengthening clinical and operational systems, and partnering with community organizations to improve the Island’s health and well-being. Claire holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, is an Advanced Nurse Executive, and serves on the faculties of Harvard Medical School, the MGH Institute of Health Professions, and Northeastern University.
