01. AGENTS IN VALORANT

Valorant is divided into 8 different ranks. And each of these ranks is divided into 3 different levels, numbered from 1 to 3. The higher the order number, the higher the Valorant rank you have climbed. At different ranks, you will have to accumulate points to move up to the next rank. For example: You are at Diamond 03 and have accumulated enough points, you will move up to Immortal 01. Only at the highest rank, Radiant, there is only one level.

How does Valorant rank work?

After learning about the Valorant rank levels, here is information on how this system works for your reference:

KDA quality: At lower ranks like Iron or Silver, losing a match usually does not reduce your rank significantly. However, if you perform well in a match with a high KDA. You can earn additional rank points even though the match ends in a loss.

Level up criteria: There are two main ways for you to climb the Valorant ranks: winning and individual stats after each match (KDA). Winning will increase your rank points, while losing will decrease it.

02. MAPS IN 9.11 UPDATES

City of Flowers // Lotus Official Map

F R A C T U R E

The conversation surrounding the comeback of older maps like Fracture demonstrates an ongoing tension—whether Riot is willing to revive past content or focus on innovation. Players dedicated to the game feel that all maps should remain available, which was articulated by shrazzy, who exclaimed, “Like just add all the maps unless you want to take one down for redesign.” This humorously speaks to the players’ desires for inclusivity in the maps available for play.

Fracture made its debut with a flair that promised innovation but quickly fell under the scrutiny of the player base. User eliasslt openly admits to initially disliking the map, reflecting a common thread in the community. While some players found the dual-attacker design exhilarating, others viewed it as a chaotic mess. This sentiment is echoed in a comment by azur933 who quipped, “One week after its added back everybody will remember why it’s so damn hated.” Such comments highlight discontent with Fracture’s sporadic planning and execution, demonstrating users’ reticence about potential return.

ARAXYS 2.0

To give gamers a better idea, the original Araxys skin set was introduced in Valorant version 6.0 in January 2023. This skin set includes skins for Shorty, Bulldog, Vandal, Operator and a melee weapon. This skin set is priced at 8,700 VP and is rare. This is a skin set that is loved by many players thanks to its unique design and very distinctive style.

The continuation of the Araxys skin set shows that Riot Games is still focusing on developing and expanding previously successful skin sets, aiming to bring the gaming community interesting and new experiences.

Recently, according to information from data miners, the next skin bundle in Valorant will be an extension of the previous very popular skin bundle, Araxys 2.0.

Despite the limited initial details, the VALORANT Leaks & News account has officially confirmed that the upcoming skin bundle will belong to the Araxys 2.0 set, an extension of the original skin set.

However, the details of this skin set have not been officially announced. Recently, another leaker, KINGDOM LABORATORIES, revealed that the Araxys 2.0 set will include skins for the Phantom and Guardian weapons. This makes gamers even more eager to wait for new changes in this collection.

THE STORY OF VALORANT

The lore of VALORANT refers to the fictional universe the game is set in, the history of its characters and setting, and the stories/narrations that occur within it. Each agent in the game has their own story, all of which are united under the VALORANT organizations from which the game takes its name. The main story follows the perspective of the Alpha Earth VALORANT Protocol agents.

The central conflict the organization is involved in is reflected in VALORANT’s core gameplay (one team seeks to detonate a spike and steal surrounding radianite, the other defends their homeworld), but the games and round-by-round battles played by players are non-canon and don’t impact the lore.

Not every aspect of gameplay needs to be justified and included in lore, and gameplay doesn’t need to conform to how things would “realistically” (in the context of the VALORANT universe) work in canon lore, nor does it need to accurately reflect moments when agents aren’t currently “working” in Protocol in lore. Likewise, not everything related to the game’s cosmetics is necessarily part of the lore, as many collections use original characters in their art as part of that collection’s own themes and stories; historically, these characters have never had any connection to canon lore.

The Biggest Global Event to Date

2024 marked the first time we set foot in three new locations – Madrid, Shanghai, and Seoul – and was a year of progress in creating global VALORANT moments that brought the entire community together in a festival that was much bigger than just competitive play.

Masters Madrid kicked off the year in style, setting a record for the most-watched VCT event ever at the time with a peak concurrent viewership of 3.1 million. The Grand Finals were incredible, with the debut of Clove and a tense series that went all the way to the final game, where Sentinels took on Gen.G 3-2. SEN City overcame the toughest road, battling through the lower bracket to take home their first trophy of the season. Kudos to TenZ and Sacy for the incredible careers and legacies they have built in VCT – this will always be your home.
