Clearwater Campus (Main)

Located in downtown Fort McMurray, Clearwater Campus is the heart of academic life at Keyano College. Our main campus is home to the Registrar’s Office, Library, student wellness and financial services, the bookstore, and cafeteria. It also hosts most of our academic programs, including offerings in health, business, social sciences, the arts, and more.

Clearwater is also where you’ll find the Theatre & Arts Centre, Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre, Bob Lamb Building, Syncrude Technology Centre, and the Oil Sands Power & Process Engineering Lab. Students enjoy green space in Doug MacRae Park and full wireless connectivity across campus—making it a dynamic place to learn, connect, and thrive.

Suncor Energy Industrial Campus

Located in Fort McMurray’s industrial district, the Suncor Energy Industrial Campus offers specialized learning environments for hands-on and applied training. This campus features advanced simulators, mechanical shops, modern classrooms, and collaborative student spaces. While its focus includes technical programs, the campus reflects Keyano’s commitment to real-world learning and innovation in all fields.

Student Advisors help students find information on credit programs, admission requirements and how to apply. The team also offers assistance in choosing courses and transferability of courses and programs.

The Keyano College Library has many resources, from helping you research your projects, booking a study room on campus, meeting with a librarian or renting from their educational technology library.

Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre

As a student at Keyano College, you will be able to obtain a membership to the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre. Becoming a member gives you access to the fitness centre, fieldhouses, running track, and equipment sign-out from the fitness desk.

Academic Integrity Office

Keyano College offers a range of services and resources to support all members of its community in upholding the principles of academic integrity and responsibilities outlined in the Academic Integrity Policy and Procedure. Supports include one-onone consultation, workshops, outreach events, and online resources. Additionally, the College provides resources and guidance on ethical research practices to ensure that all academic work adheres to the highest integrity standards.

Counselling and Wellness Services

Academic Success Centre

The Academic Success Centre is a learning space on the Clearwater Campus where students can gather to share ideas, collaborate on projects, and get new perspectives on learning from our tutorial staff. Tutoring support is available on a drop-in basis and is free of charge to registered students. Supplemental Instruction (SI) provides peer facilitated group study sessions to support students to master difficult course content while modeling effective learning skills.

Student life can be challenging in many ways, but you do not have to face it alone. Keyano College has resources to support your mental health and well-being. Keyano students can get direct access to free, confidential counselling, as well as guidance in accessing campus services, community organizations, and government programs through Wellness Services.

Student Association

The Students’ Association of Keyano College (SAKC) is a student-led association, run by and for the students. Through SAKC, students can volunteer, gain hands-on experience, and apply for additional scholarships. They advocate for Keyano College students on topics such as tuition, academics, and security on campus. They operate King’s Lounge, the Student Health and Dental Plan, and Locker rentals on campus.

Testing Services

Keyano College’s Testing Services provide a secure and supportive environment for students to complete a variety of exams. Registered Keyano College students can write supervised exams outside of their regular class schedule if they have missed an exam and received instructor approval, require accommodations through Accessibility Services, or are taking an approved deferred, supplemental or challenge exam.

As an Indigenous student-athlete, balancing academics, athletics, and personal responsibilities can be challenging, and this financial assistance significantly eases my burdens.

It allows me to focus more on my studies and my passion for basketball without the constant worry of financial strain. Beyond that, this support also means a great deal to me personally, as I am the legal guardian of my little cousin. Your contribution helps me continue to provide for them while pursuing my education and athletic goals. Both are things that are incredibly important to me.

Excellence Awards Program

At Keyano College, we’re proud to offer free first-year tuition for local students who have demonstrated academic excellence, with a 80% or higher average during their high school studies. Students entering Keyano College in 2025-2026 from secondary schools within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo are eligible to apply for the Excellence Award Program. No application is required; eligibility is reviewed on an ongoing basis, and all secondary school diploma exams must be written by the end of August.

Keyano Board of Governors Local Leaders Entrance Award

To celebrate Keyano College’s 60th anniversary, the Keyano Board of Governors Local Leaders Entrance Award will recognize sixty exceptional local students for their dedication and commitment to the Wood Buffalo community. This recognition is awarded to individuals who represent the Wood Buffalo region through activities such as extracurricular pursuits, volunteer work, military service, or community initiatives and is given in the form of a $1,000 education voucher, usable for tuition, books, or other eligible expenses.

Applications are submitted through ApplyAlberta.ca. Choose Keyano College as your College, enter your information, and choose your program. Please note, there is a $54 fee for the application.

If you meet all requirements for your program, we will send you an offer for a seat in your program. Pay the $250 Admission Deposit to receive your Acceptance Email.
