WCA hosts successful author’s tea
The Woman’s Club of Arlington hosted its 14th-annual author event fundraiser
Sunday, April 26. A sellout by mid-March, mainly by word of mouth and familiarity with the author, helped to make the event a rousing success, organizers say.
Author, lecturer and TV personality Amy Stewart engaged the 90-plus guests with her dynamism for storytelling and entertained them with a presentation on how and why she decided to write about these formidable sisters from Bergen County. Research led her to archival newspaper articles and Ancestry.com, where she found relatives of the youngest sibling and was able to interview some of them first hand along with

Stewart is known for her series of seven historical-fiction books centered around the Kopp Sisters, a family who grew up on a farm in Wyckoff during the early 1900s. Our firefighters are in good spirits. They have a great leader in Chief John Olivieri let’s all take precautions to avoid freak accidents like this one, probably the biggest in Belleville’s history.”
