Evelyn Helen Girgan will be remembered for her selfless devotion to loved ones. Evelyn Helen Girgan (nee Kemp) of Kearny, Palm Coast, Florida and Mountain Lakes, 93, entered eternal peace Oct. 13, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. A memorial service in celebration of her life took place Friday, Oct. 29, at The First Presbyterian Church of Arlington, Kearny. Arrangements were by the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, Kearny.

63 years, filled with many acts of kindness, and a generosity of spirit toward all those who were fortunate to have spent time with them. The couple resided for most of their married life in Charlies’ beloved hometown of Kearny as well as Palm Coast, Florida, where they enjoyed the company of family and friends. Active in golf for many years, Evie and Charlie were long time members of Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield. Evelyn was a good athlete, a hole in one golfer and an avid reader. She cherished a remarkable bond spanning over 90 years, with her sister Jean Beck (late Leslie Beck). Together they shared elementary school tap lessons and dance recitals, high school field hockey games, summers at the

Eleanor “Ellie” (nee Lardier) Fraser, 98, of Kearny died Oct. 24, 2021. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church, Kearny. Interment was in Arlington Cemetery, Kearny. The Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, Kearny, was in charge. Born in Nutley, Ellie was a longtime Kearny resident. She worked at Drug Fair for over 30 years. A fun-loving woman, Ellie enjoyed being around people. Always ready for a party, she was kind and loved to dance. Most of all, Ellie treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. The beloved wife of the late James Fraser, Ellie was the loving mother of Michele Syme (George), Patricia McMahon (William) and Nanette Wagner (Donald), dear grandmother of Heather Drexler (Paul), Bethany Mikolajczyk (James), Robert Wagner (Katie), Devin McMahon, Hayley McMahon and Michele Wagner; adoring great-grandmother of Emily, Katherine, Quincy, Ryan, Griffin, and one more on the way. She was predeceased by her siblings Michael, Mae, Amuel, Mary, Geraldine and Genevieve, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Job Haines Home for their compassionate care. You truly became a wonderful second family to Ellie.
