I am a Promise, I am a possibility
I am a Promise with a capital “P”
I am a great big bundle of Potentiality
And if you listen you can hear God’s voice And if you’re trying, He’ll help you make the right choice
I am a Promise to be anything He wants me to be.
I can go anywhere that He wants me to go, You can be anything that He wants you to be, You can make the right choice, You can hear God’s voice, You can climb the high mountains, you can cross the wide sea,
We have learned our numbers, letters and shapes
We know that purple is the color of grapes
We learned many colors in God’s good earth And we know He made us and that we have worth
We have made many friends and have met people that care These friends love us whether we have brown, black, red or blond hair
We know the difference between right and wrong And have some reminders to help us along
We have learned what firemen and nurses do The mailman, doctors and teachers too
We know sounds and rhymes and songs as well We learn every day, right up to the bell
We have been quiet and still and rowdy and giggly Sometimes we have even been jumpy and wiggly
The time is now here for us to move on So with one more hug, soon we will be gone
Precious is the promise that we know God has made He loves us and cares for us, His grace will not fade
May Jesus be with us in all that we do And His love shine brightly through me and through you
