Beyond transit : Designing the smart and sensory Train station

A holistic approach to reimagining the user experience in Moroccan railway stations

Supervised by : Arch. Mohamed Amine Siana, Arch. Dr. Hassan Radoine, Arch. Driss Kettani

Location : Casablanca - Morocco

Type : Thesis project

Softwares : Rhino, Revit, Autocad, Lumion, Nanobana, Adobe Illustrator

Year : 2025

The project highlights the true essence of travel: a moment of pause, memory, and encounter The site’s agricultural past inspires a return to the land through landscaped spaces and water basins, offering the neighborhood a response to urban heat islands. A canopy of overlapping slabs, reinterpreting Casablanca’s modernist, Art deco heritage and Zevaco’s market, creates a shaded and vibrant architectural landscape. The whole becomes a contemporary oasis, echoing the ancestral stops of travelers in the desert.

Topography and railways

The form unfolds in response to the constraints of the terrain and the rail network

Bipartite organization

Two volumes framing the railway axis.

Connection

Two distinct volumes linked by a passage beneath the railway tracks

Sustainability

Introduction of a second skin as a climatic and aesthetic interface

Fragmentation

Creation of distinct planes emphasizing the project’s stratification

Variation

Variation in slab height and inclination, evoking Zevaco’s formal freedom

Slab Composition

Addition of layered slabs over the underpass to ensure a smooth visual continuity between the two volumes.

Organic slab forms expressing fertility, the memory of the agricultural ground, and the idea of an oasis

Dynamics

The building stretches at its edges, echoing the dynamics of an oasis and allowing the landscape to rise naturally.

Integration of planted slabs, seating areas, and water features, creating a smooth transition between architecture and landscape Thesis

Museum of emotions : Hope vs Anxiety

Design a museum that uses architecture to evoke emotions, with two contrasting exhibition halls: one creating negative feelings and the other positive ones.

(Buildner and ArchDaily)

Location : Not defined

Type : Architectural competition

Softwares : Rhino, Lumion, Nanobanana

Year : 2024

Museum

The concept explores two opposing emotions: anxiety and hope.

Anxiety is expressed through a progressive spatial sequence It begins with a narrow, almost endless corridor, where the tightness distorts the sense of scale, time, and orientation. This leads into a first labyrinth with a very low ceiling, intensifying a feeling of compression and suffocation.

A second, more structured labyrinth follows, where repetition dominates. The space loops endlessly, creating the unsettling impression of an infinite cycle with no clear escape.

Gradually, the architecture begins to release. The ceiling rises toward the sky, introducing a sense of lightness and relief. Movement becomes easier, and the body can breathe again

The journey culminates in a fully open space, immersed in vegetation, a subtle expression of hope, renewal, and possibility

Cultural center

- Between spaces (Entre espaces)

Supervised by Arch. Driss Kettani

Location : Benguerir

Type : Architectural studio project

Softwares : Rhino, Autocad, Lumion, Nanobanana

Year : 2022

Cultural center

Between spaces, where culture and knowledge merge to create a haven of learning, where every resident of Benguerir can find a place to meet and escape, through a strong and rigorous composition of black parallelepiped volumes, carved with voids, vegetation, and enigmatic openings that lead to a pathway, which itself opens onto a patio - like a series of Russian dolls, inspired from Moroccan introverted houses, first introverted then unfolding outward into themselves - inviting contemplation, wandering, and meditation, but also the discovery of an unusual place that redefines the welcoming space.

The Architecture of the sacred

The Architecture of the sacred A mosque, a synagogue, a church, all in one place - telling the journey of a believer.

Supervised by Arch. Dr. Rim Mrani, Arch. Mehdi Harrak

Location : Negev Desert - Israel / Palestine

Allowing all three places of worship to align correctly with their sacred orientations.

Type : Workshop project

Softwares : Autocad, Physical model Year : 2023

Concept

The idea is simple, yet layered To carve a riverbed for the mind, where each drop of water, regardless of its origin or belief, flows from the visible surface into the depth of the earth, reaching an ocean of encounters, before rising again toward the sky Diversity within unity.

The project brings together the three Abrahamic religions, three spirits, three paths, three drops of water, within a single space, each following its own route. Distinct beliefs, embodied in separate trajectories, meet through an architecture of descending levels, evoking an inner, subterranean world.

Each faith enters through its own sloped path, leading to a dedicated prayer space on one side and an exhibition space on the other These exhibitions, carrying the memory and narrative of each belief, extend further through slopes and stairways that gradually connect all paths and levels

At the lowest point lies the center, a shared ground where all trajectories converge. Where riverbeds become an ocean, paths dissolve into space, and diversity transforms into unity.

And as the sun inevitably rises, the drops return, lifting from the ocean (the soul goes back up to it’s creator). Through a final ascent, (an elevator) the architecture carries beliefs and spirits back to the surface, not as an end, but as a quiet rebirth.
