It’s summer at The Governors Club!
As we officially move into the heart of the summer season, there is an unmistakable energy around the Club. With the pool officially opening Memorial Day weekend, the golf course busy from sunrise to sunset, and families and friends gathering throughout the clubhouse, cabana, and outdoor spaces, it truly is one of the best times of the year at The Governors Club On behalf of our entire team, thank you for your continued support, engagement, and enthusiasm as we head into another exciting season together.
With summer also comes a busy calendar of holidays, social gatherings, and Club events, including one of our biggest celebrations of the year just around the corner the July 4th holiday weekend. These events are designed to be enjoyed with family, friends, and fellow members, and we appreciate everyone helping us continue fostering the fun, welcoming, and respectful atmosphere that defines our Club culture. As activity levels increase throughout the season, we simply encourage members and guests to continue enjoying the Club responsibly and thoughtfully, particularly during holiday celebrations and larger social gatherings where alcohol service naturally becomes a larger part of the experience. Small gestures of awareness, courtesy, and consideration go a long way toward ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone while allowing our staff to continue delivering the high level of hospitality our membership expects and deserves.
For our residents and members with children enjoying scooters throughout the neighborhood and Club property this summer, we have seen a noticeable increase in scooter traffic around the clubhouse and parking lot areas. While we love seeing our junior members active and enjoying the community, the parking lot experiences regular vehicle and pedestrian traffic, creating potential safety concerns for riders, members, guests, and staff alike We have also experienced several recent close calls involving both vehicles and pedestrians. To help maintain a safe environment for everyone, scooters should not be operated in the parking lot and are not permitted beyond the clubhouse front entrance and fountain area. We appreciate everyone's cooperation as we continue prioritizing safety throughout the property.
We are also excited to officially kick off Bocce season beginning June 17th League information and registration details have already been distributed, but this serves as another friendly reminder for anyone still interested in participating to please contact Mark Bielski regarding team registration and league sign-ups. Interest and enthusiasm surrounding the program continue to grow each year, and we look forward to another fun and social season filled with great camaraderie and member engagement.
In addition, we are excited to introduce new Bocce logo'd hats, apparel, and merchandise options for those looking to support their teams, build camaraderie, and celebrate a sport that has quickly become one of the Club's favorite social traditions. A selection of Bocce-branded merchandise will be available in the Golf Shop soon, with additional ordering opportunities and apparel options to follow We look forward to seeing members proudly represent their teams and the growing Bocce community throughout the season
We are also excited to announce the official name of the newest addition to our pool experience Splash Shack. A special thank you to all of our members who submitted creative name suggestions. We enjoyed reviewing the many thoughtful entries and appreciate everyone who participated in the naming process.
Designed with families in mind, Splash Shack will offer a fun, kid-friendly destination featuring soft drinks, specialty flavored beverages, ice cream, snacks, candy, Dippin' Dots, games available to check out, and more. We look forward to welcoming families to this exciting new space and creating even more opportunities for summer fun at The Governors Club. Stay tuned for additional details and opening information in the coming weeks.
Additionally, I would like to take a moment to recognize and thank Executive Chef Lee for his contributions and service to The Governors Club as he prepares for his departure later this month. Chef Lee has played an important role within our culinary program, and we wish him and his family nothing but success in his next chapter. As we continue our search for a new Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef Michaela Crisan will continue taking a leading role within the operation alongside our talented culinary team. Michaela has already done a tremendous job stepping up throughout the past year, and we appreciate the continued support and encouragement many of you have already shown her.
On the golf course, we are also excited to officially welcome Rob Sicinski as our new Golf Course Superintendent. Rob joins us from Streamsong Golf Resort in Florida, where he most recently helped oversee the grow-in and development of Streamsong's newest course, Bone Valley. We are excited to leverage Rob's background, experience, and passion for agronomy as he works alongside Director of Agronomy Jason Pierce to continue elevating course presentation, conditioning, and long-term planning efforts here at The Governors Club.

We are proud to recognize two exciting professional milestones within our golf operations team this season.
Tate Kloeppel has officially attained his Class A Membership with the PGA of America. Achieving Class A status is a significant accomplishment within the golf industry and reflects Tate’s continued commitment to professional development, leadership, and excellence in the game of golf. Throughout his time at the club, Tate has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, passion for member service, and dedication to growing the game We are incredibly proud of this achievement and grateful to
have Tate as part of our team. We look forward to his continued contributions to the membership and the bright future ahead in his professional career
We are also pleased to welcome Cayden Rosa to the team as our PGA Golf Management intern for the summer. Cayden is currently enrolled in the Professional Golf Management Program at University of Central Oklahoma and is eager to expand his knowledge of the golf industry through hands-on experience at the club. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf, watching sports, and following the Oklahoma City Thunder. During his internship, Cayden looks forward to learning from our staff, building meaningful relationships with members,
and gaining valuable experience in all aspects of golf operations We are excited to have him with us this summer and look forward to the contributions he will make during his time at the club

Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 cup - all-purpose flour
1 cup - sugar
1½ tsp - baking powder
¼ tsp - salt
1 cup - milk
½ cup - melted butter
1 tsp - vanilla extract
3 cups - peaches (frozen ,canned, or fresh)
3 tbsp - corn starch
½ cup - sugar (separate from batter)
INSTRUCTIONS
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2 This recipe can be made in an 11X7 glass pan or in individual glass bowls.
3 Make sure to spray nonstick cooking spray on pans before adding the batter and the fruit.
4 In a mixing bowl add flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk Whisk until combined
5.Next add the melted butter and vanilla, whisk until combined
6.Pour ½ batter to cover the bottom of the pan
7 Toss peaches with the corn starch, and the ½ cup of sugar, mix well
8.Spread peaches evenly across the already poured batter.
9 Pour the remaining batter over the peaches
10.Bake for 35-45 minutes, use a wooden pick to test if it is done, it will come out clean, and not wet like the batter
The crust should look golden brown and fluffy
11.Serve warm with fresh whipped cream and vanilla bean ice cream

I want to begin by saying how truly grateful I am to be here at The Governors Club. It’s an honor to join a community with such a strong culture, beautiful property, and a membership that clearly cares about the course and its future. From day one, the welcome has been genuine, and I’m excited to become part of what makes this place special.
My immediate focus is ensuring a smooth transition while continuing the successes that Glen and Grayson have established. They’ve built a strong foundation, and I’m committed to honoring that work while also looking for opportunities to elevate the course even further. Whether it’s refining daily conditioning, improving long‑term agronomic programs, or enhancing the overall playing experience, my goal is to build on what’s already working and thoughtfully advance where we can.
I’m also looking forward to getting to know each of you. A golf course is at its best when the membership and the agronomy team are connected, communicating, and working toward the same vision. I believe in being open, accessible, and transparent, and I welcome conversations, questions, and feedback. If you see me out on the course, please don’t hesitate to stop me I enjoy those interactions and value hearing your perspective.
