As hard as it is to believe, we're already approaching the final stretch of another Tennessee summer. It has been a busy and enjoyable season at Governors Club, and I want to thank each of you for continuing to make the Club such an active and engaging place. Whether you've spent your time on the golf course, relaxing by the pool, enjoying dinner with friends, competing in Bocce, or taking part in one of our many events, it's been wonderful to see our community enjoying everything the Club has to offer I also want to thank everyone who participated in our recent Q2 Pulse Survey. More than 400 members took the time to share thoughtful feedback, and I can assure you those comments don't simply get filed away they become part of the conversations our leadership team has every week.
While not every suggestion can be implemented immediately, many of the enhancements you've seen around the Club reflect the feedback we receive through our Pulse Surveys and everyday conversations with members. Recent examples include continued investment in the Golf Shop experience, evaluating expanded retail offerings, enhancing family programming and social events, and the ongoing focus on golf course conditions and presentation Your feedback has also provided valuable insight as we plan future dining enhancements, holiday programming, and other improvements to the overall member experience.
The surveys also help us understand where members believe we're succeeding and where we still have opportunities to improve. Our goal isn't simply to ask for feedback it's to create a continuous conversation where member input helps shape the future of Governors Club. We sincerely appreciate both the compliments and the constructive suggestions, and we encourage you to keep sharing your ideas.
One of this summer's biggest successes has been the Splash Shack Since opening in mid-June, it has become a popular destination for many of our junior members and families It's been wonderful to see so many enjoying everything it has to offer from the new snow cone machine, Dirty Sodas and Dippin' Dots to the addition of frozen grapes for those looking for a healthier, yet refreshing, snack on a hot Tennessee afternoon The Splash Shack has brought another fun dimension to the pool experience, and we're thrilled to see it so well received
We're also excited to continue enhancing the area in the coming week with the installation of a new Sonos audio system throughout the cabana and pool complex The upgraded sound quality and flexibility will help create an even more enjoyable atmosphere for members and guests as they relax and spend time with family and friends
Another highlight has been the incredible enthusiasm surrounding our Bocce leagues What began many years ago as a fun addition to the Club has grown into one of our most popular member activities, with strong participation, friendly competition, and plenty of laughter each week Seeing members connect with one another both longtime friends and new acquaintances is exactly what club life is all about, and we couldn't be happier with how well the league has been embraced
If you haven't stopped by the Golf Shop recently, I hope you'll take a moment to do so Our new fixtures and merchandising upgrades have given the shop a refreshed, more inviting look while making it easier to browse and showcase our growing selection of apparel and merchandise We hope you've noticed the improvements and are enjoying the updated shopping experience
On the golf course, Jason Pierce, our Director of Agronomy, and Rob Sacinski, Golf Course Superintendent, along with the entire grounds team, continue to do an outstanding job despite close to 13” of rain in the month of July. Their attention to detail focus and commitment to providing exceptional playing conditions have not gone unnoticed. We've received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from members throughout the summer, and I know they appreciate your support as they continue working to keep the course in good condition while always looking for opportunities to make it even better.
I'd also like to take a moment to remind everyone of an important safety policy regarding electric scooters and similar motorized devices. While we understand their growing popularity, they are not permitted beyond the front entrance of the Club. This policy is in place solely to help ensure the safety of our members, guests, children, pedestrians, golfers, and staff throughout the property. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work together to maintain a safe environment for everyone.
As summer begins to wind down, we're excited to close the season with one of our favorite member traditions. Join us on Saturday, August 29, for the return of our popular Yacht Rock & '80s Band Experience. Dust off your captain's hat, break out your favorite '80s attire, or come dressed as your favorite Yacht Rock icon, and join us for an evening filled with live music, dancing, great food, cocktails, and plenty of camaraderie. It's always one of the highlights of the year and the perfect way to celebrate another memorable summer at Governors Club. We hope to see everyone embracing the theme and making it another unforgettable evening.

As KemperSports celebrated its fourth annual Youth Golf Week from July 20–26, The Governors Club was proud to continue that same commitment to growing the game by providing young golfers with opportunities to learn, compete, and create lasting friendships This summer was another outstanding season for junior golf at the club, highlighted by strong participation and memorable experiences both on and off the course.
Our Junior Golf Camp welcomed 82 participants throughout the summer. Campers sharpened their fundamentals through engaging instruction, fun competitions, and games designed to foster both a love for golf and a lifelong connection to the club.
Our PGA Junior League program featured 37 players who represented The Governors Club with enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the season. From first-time golfers to experienced competitors, every participant continued to
develop their skills while enjoying the camaraderie that makes junior golf so rewarding. We are especially proud to send three players to the PGA Junior League All-Star team. Alongside five players from Westhaven Golf Club, they advanced through Regional Qualifying on July 23 and will compete in the Tennessee Section Finals on August 1 at Grasslands Club in Gallatin We wish them the very best as they represent our club on the next stage
As we celebrate the future of golf at The Governors Club, we now turn our attention to the tradition and competition that define the club's biggest events of the season. Championship golf is just around the corner, with our MGA 36-Hole Individual & Senior Club Championship, MGA Black Tee Club Championship, and Ladies Championship set to crown this year's champions. These tournaments showcase the exceptional talent within our membership and provide every competitor the opportunity to etch their name into club history. Championship winners will earn not only the title of Club Champion but also the honor of having their name permanently displayed on our Championship Wall a lasting legacy for years to come.

As we continue to evaluate and strengthen our maintenance practices at The Governors Club, we are encouraged by the progress we've made and remain committed to enhancing course conditioning, playability, and overall attention to detail.
Despite receiving more than 13 inches of rainfall during July, our team has remained focused on making meaningful improvements throughout the property. Recent accomplishments include:
Expanded cart path access whenever course conditions safely permit Improved bunker playability through consistent maintenance and timely storm recovery efforts.
Increased consistency in mowing operations, resulting in enhanced overall course presentation.
Continued cart path and yardage stone edging to improve the property's appearance and definition.
Ongoing irrigation system repairs to enhance reliability and support long-term turf health
The significant rainfall has also presented unavoidable challenges, including saturated turf conditions, interruptions to scheduled mowing operations, and repeated bunker washouts. While these weather-related impacts have temporarily affected certain maintenance practices, our priority remains returning to normal maintenance schedules as conditions improve.
We sincerely appreciate your patience, support, and understanding throughout this unusually wet period It is a privilege to care for this exceptional property, and our team remains dedicated to providing the highest possible playing conditions for our membership.

We are excited to welcome our new Assistant Superintendent to The Governors Club With more than 20 years of experience in turf management, Jordan brings an impressive background and a passion for delivering exceptional course conditions
Originally from British Columbia, Canada, his love for the game and the outdoors began while growing up on a golf course After earning a degree in Turf Management, he built his career at some of the country's most prestigious clubs, including The Riviera Country Club and Merion, and has also contributed to six PGA Tour events We are thrilled to have him bring this experience and expertise to The Governors Club as we continue enhancing the conditioning and overall playing experience for our members.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two sons and exploring everything Middle Tennessee has to offer If you see him out on the course, please join us in giving him a warm Governors Club welcome!

Recipe
INGREDIENTS
8 cups - all-purpose flour
6 tsp - kosher salt
4 tsp - instant yeast
4 cups - warm water
cooking spray garlic butter
rosemary is a great addition for the top of the doughmince it and mix it with the garlic butter
INSTRUCTIONS
1 In a large bowl add all dry ingredients Mix well
2 Add warm water, dough will begin to form, I add the water in small amounts until the dough forms, it should be slightly sticky still, if it is too dry add more water, too wet add more flour until you get the sticky consistency of a dough ball
3 Add olive oil and rub around the dough ball
4 Cover for 30 minutes in a warm place
5 After 30 minutes, do stretch and folds until it forms into a ball again
6 Cover again for 2 hours
7.Transfer onto a greased half sheet pan
8 Push dough to cover the entire half sheet pan
9 Let rise again for 15 minutes in warm place
10 Use your fingers to press lightly into the dough to create little craters
11 Spread garlic butter over the top
12 Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes and rotate, bake for 10 to 15 minutes more until golden brown and done in the middle
13. Spread garlic butter over the top and serve
