Thank you again to everyone who participated in our recent and first ever Member Pulse Survey. Your feedback continues to be incredibly valuable and plays a key role in shaping both the day-to-day experience and the future direction of the club.
We are pleased to share that the overall sentiment remains very positive, with thoughtful and specific suggestions that are helping us refine and elevate the experience across all areas of the operation.
What You Said / What We’re Doing:

Based on your input, our team has already begun implementing a number of enhancements, with more to come as we move into the spring and summer seasons.
Creating More Energy Through Events & Programming
One of the most consistent themes we heard was a desire for more social energy, variety, and family-friendly experiences. In response, we are expanding our event calendar with several new and enhanced offerings.
You will see the introduction of a Ladies Night series this spring, featuring interactive and lifestyle-focused experiences such as floral arrangements and container planting. For our younger members and families, we are building out more dynamic programming— including new Terrific Tuesday activities, updated crafts, balloon artists on major holidays, a petting zoo for Easter, and enhanced holiday experiences such as foam parties and upgraded entertainment. We’ve also adjusted the timing of select events, such as the Princess Party, to better align with family schedules.
In addition, we are placing a strong emphasis on increasing the overall energy around the club, including more live music at the Cabana throughout the summer, with select dates already scheduled and additional entertainment planned for key holiday weekends.
Enhancing Dining & Social Experiences
From a Food & Beverage perspective, your feedback highlighted opportunities to introduce more variety and create additional reasons to gather at the club.
This season, you can expect more themed dining experiences, expanded Cabana events—including concepts such as a New Orleans-style Crab & Shrimp Boil and a Cocina & Cantina street taco experience—as well as the return of popular offerings like Seafood Week. We are also refreshing elements of our brunch program and will be placing a greater emphasis on promoting special dining events, including holidays such as New Year’s Eve, to ensure you are fully aware of the experience being offered.
We are also evaluating enhancements to the pool experience, including additional umbrellas in key areas and potential adjustments to service hours to better align with member usage.
Golf Experience & Service Enhancements
Within Golf Operations, your feedback centered around access, pace of play, and the overall golf experience—and we are taking a comprehensive approach to addressing each.
We are actively reviewing tee time access to ensure fairness for all members, including exploring adjustments such as booking limits and alternative approaches to high-demand weekend times. Pace of play remains a priority, with increased on-course presence during busy periods and continued evaluation of group sizes to maintain an enjoyable experience for everyone.
From a service standpoint, we are placing added emphasis on the full pre-round experience—from arrival through the first tee. This includes enhanced operational readiness standards for golf carts and the practice tee to ensure both are consistently prepared and aligned with member expectations each day. Beginning in mid-April, we will also be introducing complimentary bottled water in all golf cart coolers as part of this effort.
In addition, we are continuing to refine the Golf Shop experience as an extension of our overall service delivery, with a focus on increased team visibility, engagement, and a more welcoming, high-touch arrival.
On the instruction side, we have already launched our Ladies Intro to Golf program, with additional sessions planned, and are working to expand group instructional opportunities to provide more flexible and engaging ways to improve your game.
Retail & Member Experience Enhancements
We also heard your desire for more variety and freshness within the Golf Shop. We are working to expand selections—particularly in areas such as headwear and lifestyle offerings—while introducing new brands and rotating inventory more frequently throughout the season.
Equally important, we are reinforcing our focus on member engagement and service across all areas of the club. You will continue to see an emphasis on team visibility, interaction, and creating a welcoming experience from the moment you arrive.
Looking Ahead
Your feedback reinforces that we are on a strong path, while also providing clear direction on where we can continue to improve. Many of the enhancements outlined above are already underway, with additional initiatives to follow throughout the year.

TO OUR SPRING
Recipe
ROASTED TOMATO SAUCE
1 oz - Oil Bend
5 oz - Yellow Onions, Diced
2 tbsp - Minced Garlic
24 oz - Crushed Tomatoes
4 oz - Tomato Paste
4 tbsp - Salt & Black Pepper
4 oz - Basil, Julienne
½ tbsp - Italian Seasoning Blend
1 oz - Granulated Sugar
4 oz - Water
1 tbsp - Beef Base
INSTRUCTIONS
1 Sauté diced onions and minced garlic in oil over low heat until onions are translucent in appearance
2.When onions start to turn transparent, add tomatoes and tomato paste
3.Dissolve beef base, salt, sugar, water, and tomato paste to form a slurry.
4 Add all other ingredients and bring to a simmer for 1 hour
5.Remove from heat and store in a 6quart container
PEPPERONI & SAUSAGE PIZZA
1 ea - Pizza Dough
4 oz - Roasted Tomato Sauce
4 oz - Shredded Mozzarella
15 ea - Pepperoni Slices
5 oz - Italian Sausage Pieces
2 oz - Grated Parmesan
9 ea - Basil, Hand Torn
Sprinkle - Italian Seasoning Blend
Garlic Butter, Melted INSTRUCTIONS
1 Spread tomato sauce evenly on the dough, forming a border a ½ inch from the edge
2 Spread cheese evenly on top of the sauce.
3 Lay pepperoni around cheese to spread evenly across pie
4 Spread sausage around the pepperoni evenly
5.Bake in a 400 degree oven for 3 minutes
6 Finish with grated parmesan and basil
7 Brush edges with garlic butter
8.Cut into 6 even pieces and serve.

Golf Course & Grounds Update
As we begin the transition from winter into spring, the Golf Course Maintenance team has been working diligently to prepare the course for the upcoming season. The warmer temperatures we experienced throughout February and early March have allowed the turfgrass to begin slowly emerging from winter dormancy.
Our MiniVerde Bermuda greens are starting to show signs of active growth, which allows us to gradually resume key maintenance practices that promote healthy turf and consistent playing conditions. Recently, the greens were needle-tined to improve gas exchange and root health following the winter months. These types of cultural practices are an important part of maintaining firm, smooth putting surfaces throughout the growing season.
In addition to our greens program, the team has been focused on overall course cleanup and presentation following winter weather. Our staff has spent considerable time removing fallen limbs and debris from the property so we can continue improving the overall appearance and playability of the course
Looking ahead, as temperatures continue to warm and turf growth increases, we will begin implementing our full spring agronomic program. This includes continued cultural practices, fertility programs, and detailed work around the course to ensure conditions continue to improve as we move into peak golf season.
Early spring is a critical time for turf health, and we appreciate the membership’s patience as we work through this seasonal transition. Our entire team is committed to providing the best possible playing conditions while protecting the long-term health of the golf course.

As spring arrives, our TGC community looks forward to two meaningful celebrations that bring families and friends together Easter in April and Mother’s Day in May. These special occasions offer opportunities to celebrate renewal, gratitude, and the important people in our lives.
This April, we celebrate Easter, a time that symbolizes renewal, hope, and fresh beginnings. For many families, Easter traditions include gathering for a special meal, attending church services, decorating eggs, and organizing Easter egg hunts (which will start promptly at 11:00 at the Mansion) for children. Whether you celebrate through faith-based traditions or simply enjoy the seasonal festivities, Easter is a wonderful time to reconnect with loved ones and embrace the spirit of the season.
In May, we honor the incredible women who nurture, guide, and inspire us every day our mothers and mother figures. Mother’s Day is a heartfelt opportunity to express appreciation for the love and sacrifices mothers make for their families. Many families celebrate by sharing a special meal, giving thoughtful gifts, or spending quality time together. Simple gestures like a handwritten card, a bouquet of flowers, or a relaxing day spent together can make the day truly meaningful. Mother’s Day reminds us to pause and reflect on the important role mothers play in shaping our lives and communities.
Both Easter and Mother’s Day offer wonderful opportunities to gather with loved ones and celebrate what matters most family, gratitude, and community. We encourage everyone to take part in the upcoming activities, enjoy the season of spring, and make time to appreciate the people who bring joy and support into our lives.

Over the past five years, Jeffrey has developed a comprehensive skill set, supporting a wide range of operations including food expediting, banquet and event setup and breakdown, and coordinating floor plans. His strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence have earned him the role of Lead Training Assistant, where he plays a key part in mentoring and developing new team members.
Outside of work, Jeffrey enjoys staying active, spending time at the gym, and playing Madden. He also loves taking his cockapoo, Doug, for walks. Recently, Jeffrey celebrated a major personal milestone—on March 7, he proposed to his girlfriend, Hannah, and she happily said yes.

RIGOBERTOCHAVEZMARTINEZ MAINTENANCE
Rigo has been a valued member of The Governor Golf Club team for over 22 years. He joined the Course and Grounds department in May 2004, where he quickly advanced to Lead Irrigation Technician, demonstrating both technical expertise and a strong commitment to excellence. In 2024, Rigo was promoted to Clubhouse Maintenance Supervisor, a role in which he continues to play a vital part in maintaining the quality and functionality of the club’s facilities.
Rigo is known for his exceptional problem-solving skills and hands-on approach—there is very little he cannot repair or improve. His dedication extends beyond his primary responsibilities, as he regularly supports multiple departments, from assisting with event setup to maintaining equipment and addressing day-to-day operational needs.
Outside of work, Rigo enjoys spending time at home with his family, often tackling projects or relaxing with a good action movie. He is a devoted husband and proud father of two sons, and he greatly values the time he spends with them.
Rigo’s positive attitude, versatility, and team-oriented mindset have earned him the respect and appreciation of his colleagues. We are proud to have him as an integral part of The Governor Golf Club team.
