A Note from Dan Walker – Your General Manager Greetings from Nemadji GC. After an extended fall golf season outdoor golf at Nemadji, we would just like to thank everyone who enjoyed a day at Nemadji this summer. We are proud to call ourselves the “Best of the Best” for the sixth year in a row. We appreciate the local support and will continue to work hard to make the experience improve each year at Nemadji. 2025 Highlights: The remodeling and reopening of the Oasis on the North/South course. This provided our guests with consistent F&B service along with adding a nice touch for events held on the North/South. Our Starter house got a new roof, counter tops and windows. We also finished remodeling the bathrooms at the Pop Shop (East/West turn building). The front of the Pop Shop also got new windows in plans to possibly open that up for F&B service next season. The clubhouse received two new Air Conditioners/Coils that replaced the original units from when the clubhouse was built. ·We also got a new Make Up Air unit for the bar/kitchen to help balance out the building and keep us nice and warm this winter when we have our Simulators up. Rounds of golf were strong again this year almost reaching 60,000 rounds for the season even with a July where we got 8.7” of rain. Our Junior Golf Program was a success, having 81 juniors participate this year. Special thanks to our Men’s & Women’s Club board members and league administrators for another successful golf league season. Unfortunately, the irrigation system project that was scheduled to start this fall has been put on hold for the current time. We were able to obtain the necessary permits for Phase 1 of the project, but we are still working through the bid documents and specs to hopefully get the RFP ready to post sometime next spring. Thank you once again for making 2025 a great golf season at Nemadji G.C.!! I hope to see you all playing on the simulators this winter.

January Par 3 Challenge Trackman Simulator- All January long This two person- 18 hole best ball tournament is a great way to keep your swing in shape this winter. We have prizes for top 3 and a random draw. We also have Closest to the pin on EVERY hole. $120 Entry fee per team. Each team will receive a two hour block to play. A Note from Ryan Ozan – Food and Beverage Manager Hi all! As we wrapped up a busy season, there was much to do here at Nemadji Golf Course! Throughout November, the team was busy setting up simulators in our dining room space, we were cultivating some new menu options for the winter menu, and are really excited with what we have come up with. Before we discuss the new menu options, mark your calendars! FISH FRY AT NEMADJI IS BACK! Our delicious wild caught Alaskan Pollock, hand breaded and made to order just for you! Paired with our battered fries, creamy coleslaw and fresh tartar sauce. Stop in for dine in, call and order to-go, or find it on DoorDash! Anyway you can order it, we will get it to you! Sick of the cold? Come warm up at Nemadji! Chef Brian will be producing a soup of the month that we are excited to feature, as well as homemade chili throughout the winter! With the simulator season now starting to ramp up, please be on the lookout for new specials, including a weekend simulator package and dinner specials throughout the week! Winter Breakfast Menu Serving some of the best breakfast in the South end, we are open for Breakfast FRI-SUN from 7:30AM-Noon. We also have our Senior Breakfast Special on Sunday’s where all seniors receive free coffee and 20% off their meal. Our full menu is available here
Friday Fish Fry Greens View Grille Each Friday we have our Fish Fry from 12-8PM. We serve Wild Caught Alaskan Pollock with our in house breading, fries, and coleslaw. This has become a favorite of many of our regulars. Stop out this week and try it!

Superintendent Update
On the Grounds with Brian and George Page 12
I would like to formally introduce some of the key members of the Nemadji Maintenance Staff over the winter. My name is Brian Wallin, I started as the new Superintendent as of last February, I was born and raised in Superior and have lived within a few miles of Nemadji Golf Course my entire life. I attended Anoka Technical College for my degree in Golf Course Grounds Management and spent numerous years working for two of the best Superintendents around, Steve Flagstad and Vince Dodge. I have been married to my beautiful wife Carrie for 23 years and have two grown children along with two grandchildren, who I adore. Our Assistant Superintendent is George Bibeau. George started at Nemadji in 2020 and has worked his way up through the ranks going from maintenance staff to irrigation tech/spray tech to now Assistant Superintendent. George came with numerous years of experience working with Vince Dodge prior to coming here and is one of the hardest workers I have ever come across in this industry. George and I have some special family members that come to work with us, Chopper, Rosie, and Sandie (our dogs). Say hello to them if you see them wandering around on the golf course stop and say hi. They are all very friendly (just be sure to hide your snacks). Finally, the third full-time member of our crew is Brad Little. Brad is the mechanic out here at Nemadji and he is the guy that has kept all the equipment and carts running around this place for the past 15+ years. I look forward to giving you all an update on what we accomplished over the 2025 season, introducing you to some more of our valued maintenance staff, and give you updates on what we are looking forward to working on during the 2026 season.

Lake Superior Ice Festival
Nemadji will once again be hosting mini golf at Captain J’s during the Lake Superior Ice Festival at Barkers Island! We are also hosting trolly riders to Nemadji Golf Course that will get free appetizers and a chance to check out the Greens View Grille in the winter! We look forward to seeing everyone out there!
Duluth Cold Front
Come check out the Palm Swings Closest to the Pin Contest at the Duluth Cold front on February 7th. We will start up at 3:15 and conclude around 5:15. We have had a blast the last few years doing this and look forward to seeing some great swings...... and some not so great ones. We also have some cool prizes to give away!!

Blatnik Bridge Project We know a ton of golfers make their way to Nemadji from Duluth and we want to keep you updated on the Blatnik Bridge Project scheduled to start in 2026. While we don’t foresee any interruption to the 2026 golf season, we will make sure to keep you updated with all the relevant information and alternate routes to the golf course
The bridge is expected to be closed to traffic for four to five years; currently, the closure is anticipated to begin in 2027. The bridge is expected to reopen to traffic in 2031.
Closing Thoughts On behalf of our entire team, we’d like to extend a sincere thank-you to everyone who chose Nemadji in 2025. Whether you were a league player, tournament participant, season pass holder, casual weekend golfer, or someone who stopped out for a round with friends — your support means the world to us. We are grateful for all 59,000+ rounds of golf that were played at Nemadji this past year and we look forward to warmer weather and the season ahead. In the meantime, we would love to see everyone’s support this winter in the Greens View Grille and the simulators!
