May is here, and there is a lot happening at Covered Bridge and Champions Pointe this month! From golf events and fitting days to live music, family activities, and great dining specials, both clubs are gearing up for a fun and busy season. In this issue, you’ll find upcoming tournaments, social events, restaurant updates, summer music schedules, and more. A Note from Ryan Dougherty – Your General Manager
As we step into May, both Covered Bridge Golf Club and Champions Pointe Golf Club are beginning to hit their stride for the 2026 season With warmer temperatures and longer days now the norm, course conditions continue to improve Our agronomy teams at both properties have done an excellent job navigating spring growth, and we’re seeing strong turf health, improved consistency on the greens, and great overall playability. Thank you for your patience during early-season maintenance practices, those efforts are already paying dividends.
The month of May marks the true start of a busy and exciting golf season across both clubs. League play is underway, and it’s been great to see so many returning players back in action. If you haven’t yet gotten involved, there is still time to participate, please reach out to the golf shops at either Covered Bridge or Champions Pointe for availability.
Outings and events are also ramping up significantly this month. Both courses will host a number of group events, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere throughout the schedule. We appreciate your understanding on these busy days and your help in maintaining pace of play and proper course etiquette to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone
You’ll also notice fresh arrivals in both golf shops, with new apparel lines and equipment selections now available for the season Whether you’re looking to update your gear or simply browse the latest styles, our staff is ready to assist Looking ahead, we’re excited for a full calendar of events, strong course conditions, and continued improvements across both facilities Our goal remains the same to provide a first-class golf experience every time you visit either Covered Bridge or Champions Pointe

Couples Golf
Champions Pointe | Friday, 5/1
Grab your partner and hit the course for our Friday Couples Golf series. This laid back, every other Friday event is open to all skill levels, with tee times starting at 4 PM.
Whether you come as a foursome or want us to pair you up, it’s all about fun, friendly play, and a great night out Stick around after your round for food and drinks, and don’t miss our themed nights on the fourth Friday of each month.
Dates include 5/1, 5/15, 5/29, 6/12, 7/24, 8/7, and 8/21.

Couples Golf
Covered Bridge | Sunday, 5/10
Couples Golf Night is the perfect way to unwind and enjoy an evening on the course together. Whether you are playing with your significant other or your best friend, this relaxed event is open to all skill levels and begins with tee times starting at 3:30 PM.
Sign up as a foursome or let our staff pair you with another couple, then stick around after your round for dinner and drinks. Dates include 5/10, 5/24, 6/21, 7/5, 8/2, 8/16, and 8/30.

Folds of Honor Weekend
Covered Bridge & Champions Pointe Friday, 5/22 - Sunday, 5/24
Join us Memorial Day Weekend as Covered Bridge and Champions Pointe proudly support Folds of Honor, a national nonprofit dedicated to providing educational scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled military members and first responders
Throughout the weekend, our staff will be collecting donations at the first tee. Guests who contribute $25 or more will be entered into a drawing for golf-related prizes, with additional Folds of Honor merchandise available for purchase.
Drive, Chip & Putt
Covered Bridge | Wednesday, 6/3
Covered Bridge Golf Club is proud to host a Drive, Chip & Putt Local Qualifier, a free junior golf competition for boys and girls ages 7–15 this summer. Young golfers will test their skills in driving, chipping, and putting for a chance to advance toward the National Finals held at Augusta National Golf Club.

PGA Junior Camp
Give your child a week of golf skill development, games, and confidence building with certified PGA professionals. Camps are designed for beginner to intermediate junior golfers and focus on fundamentals like full swing, short game, rules, and etiquette in a fun, supportive setting.

Derby Party
Champions Pointe | Saturday, 5/2
Celebrate race day in style at Champions Pointe Golf Club. Join us for our Derby Party featuring live racing, yard games, and prizes for best hat and best jacket. Your ticket includes a drink and hors d’oeuvres as you enjoy the excitement of the most iconic day in racing.

Mother’s Day Brunch

Celebrate Mom with a beautiful Mother’s Day Brunch at Covered Bridge Golf Club on Sunday, May 10th. Enjoy a chef-crafted buffet with all your brunch favorites, plus an omelet and carving station.

North of Nashville
Covered Bridge | Sunday, 5/17
Join us for North of Nashville Songwriter Sessions, an intimate acoustic evening where every song has a story. Enjoy a oneof-a-kind live experience featuring hit songwriters Ryan Larkins and Brice Long as they perform and share the stories behind songs recorded by artists like Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks and more.
The doors open at 4:30 PM and the show begins at 6 PM Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

Little Builders Bash
Champions Pointe | Monday, 5/18
Bring your little builders out for a funfilled evening at our Little Builders Bash on Monday, May 18th from 6PM – 8PM! Kids will build their own birdhouse, decorate cookies, and enjoy hands-on activities, while everyone digs into a delicious taco bar. It’s the perfect mix of creativity, treats, and family time.
