MISSION STATEMENT Lone Star YPO strives to be an engaged community of dynamic, successful leaders challenging and supporting each other to reach new heights personally and professionally. We aim to practice a rare combination of vulnerability and accountability.
ATTENDANCE At Lone Star, events are the heartbeat of our chapter—where we learn, connect, and share experiences that make membership valuable. To keep us strong, all members must uphold these commitments. • Engagement: Attend at least 5 events per Learning Year, including our two mandatory signature events —the President’s Retreat and the 49er Send Off Mandatory Events: Missing a signature event without prior approval from the Lone Star Chairman is taken very seriously. Failure to attend will result in immediate expulsion and requires a vote by the Lone Star Board for reinstatement • No-Show Policy: If you can’t make an event, please give at least 48 hours’ notice. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows will result in a $500 fine • Shared Responsibility: Members who do not meet the attendance policy will be placed on probation the following year. Continued failure to meet expectations may result in membership discontinuation We understand that life happens, but your presence truly matters — to your fellow members, to the energy of our events, and to the future of Lone Star.
REFERRING A NEW MEMBER Bringing in new members is a very important way for us to strengthen our chapter. To ensure a smooth process, follow these guidelines: • Initial Step: Share candidate details with the Membership Team and Lindsay. If the timing is right, you’ll be asked to provide an email introduction connecting your candidate with the Membership Team • Sponsorship Requirement: Every candidate must have a Lone Star member sponsor • Sponsor’s Role: The sponsor is responsible for ensuring the candidate meets the majority of the LSYPO Board and for helping coordinate these meetings • Candidate Vote: The sponsor must attend the Board Candidate Vote in person and present their candidate to the Board for consideration
LONE STAR YPO VISION By September 2029, Lone Star YPO is thriving—100 deeply engaged members supported by a strong waitlist and a robust pipeline of future leaders. Our members are fully invested in chapter life: • 80%+ event attendance across the board • 95% Forum participation • A growing community of spouses and partners actively engaged in our programs and culture We consistently deliver bold, high-impact, “only-in-YPO” experiences—signature events that are distinctly Lone Star: unforgettable, relevant, and designed to inspire. These experiences foster meaningful relationships, spark transformative ideas, and earn top ratings year after year. Our Board leads with service, innovation, and integrity, setting the tone for a culture where every member contributes and every voice matters. We are locally rooted and globally connected: • Strong partnerships with Lone Star Gold and our alumni network through mentorship, collaboration, and shared programming • Active global engagement, with 15+ members attending GLC over the past three years and consistent participation in international YPO events New members are fully integrated within 60 days through a clear, intentional onboarding process that connects them quickly to our culture, builds authentic relationships, and invites early contribution—whether by recruiting, day chairing, or stepping into leadership. Integration isn’t just a step in the journey; it’s a defining strength of the Lone Star experience. Rooted in 45 years of legacy, we remain future-focused— developing exceptional leaders, creating value that transcends business, and building relationships that last a lifetime.
