Frame

Many frame designs are available from frameless, to standard aluminium, Shield® Contemporary aluminium with colour options and environmentally friendly frame with colour options that include wood effect.

Surface

Standard drywipe laminate surface, magnetic coated or vitreous enamel steel that also allow use of magnets to display pre-prepared information. Durable safety glass surfaces adds a contemporary look and semi-matte projection whiteboard surfaces allow the use of multi-media projectors on a drywipe surface.

Life Cycle

Higher quality surfaces like vitreous enamel steel with a 25 year surface guarantee are more hardwearing and reduce visibility of pen residue after erasing, recommended for high use areas.

A wide range of fabric options including felt, loop nylon, both of which accept Velcro® and pins, or a woven cloth for the fire retardant noticeboards. Woven cloth, Cork and Colourboard options only accept pins, as they are not receptive to Velcro®

Type of display

Folding exhibition display units are more suitable for single sided displays as they need to be angled when in use. Pole and panel modular display systems are more stable and can be used for freestanding linear display, making them ideal for double sided use.

Location

For less permanent displays, folding systems such as Busyfold® Light with its lightweight frame is the best option. For longer exhibits, a pole and panel system such as Mightyboard may be more suitable.

Size

Choose from compact desktop folding units, larger floor standing variants or large pole and panel systems which feature panels up to 1.8m wide.

Why Resist-a-Flame®?

According to public building regulations a corridor or potential escape route must have wall linings that meet BS-EN:13501.

This includes corridors, stairwells, and even rooms where a secondary exit that may double as a fire exit.

Noticeboards are classified as wall linings and the Building Bulletin 100 (BB100) makes particular reference to noticeboards within school buildings.

It advises that the total assembled noticeboard must be tested to BS-EN:13501.

Metroplan have undertaken rigorous independent testing and Resist-a-Flame® products have been classified as B-s1, d0 according to BS-EN:13501, therefore suitable for wall applications.
