The Rindge Planning Board is seeking a part-time Planning Assistant to assist in taking the minutes of board meetings and the administrative workflow of the Planning Office. The applicant should be a reliable self-starter and have some experience in an office setting or previous experience in minute-taking. Attention to detail, excellent writing, and computer skills are required. The schedule will begin with two days a week while training under the current Planning Assistant and will expand to four days a week no later than December. The Planning Board meets once or twice a month; hours will vary from 10 hours (while training) to 22 hours per week. Minutes must be delivered within 2-5 days. Meetings vary in length and are generally 1-2.5 hours long. Pay for this position will start at $20 per hour, slightly higher for a highly qualified candidate.

Plant Services Supervisor
New Hampshire Ball Bearing’s Astro Division is located in Laconia, NH—heart of the scenic Lakes Region. Astro is a World-Class 440 person, climate-controlled manufacturing facility that produces spherical bearings, rod ends, subassemblies and other precision metal parts for the aerospace industry.
This individual will be responsible for overseeing technicians in repair of electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment and production machine malfunctions and applies skills in restoring to operation. Provide skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing as well as the facility. Provide primary goal setting and assure task accomplishment for Preventative Maintenance Program. This position requires a minimum of a two-year technical degree with 5 years progressive supervisory experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment. BS degree is preferred, trades apprenticeship or equivalent in a technical field.

Position will manage all aspects of Purchasing to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operations.
Core responsibilities and competencies:
Negotiating, analytical and problem solving skills
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases
Direct continuous improvement of purchasing processes in line with changing needs and market conditions
Develop and manage purchasing budgets and forecasts
Monitor supplier and vendor compliance with contractual agreements
Strong computer skills
Knowledge with Automated Manufacturing Systems (MRP – ERP)
Self-motivated with strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines
International Supply Chain Management experience
Experience in VMI
Seven years progressive management and supervisory experience in a fastpaced manufacturing environment
