MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR

New Hampshire Ball Bearing’s Astro Division is located in Laconia, NH—heart of the scenic Lakes Region. Astro is a World-Class 450+ person, climate-controlled manufacturing facility that produces spherical bearings, rod ends, sub-assemblies and other precision metal parts for the aerospace industry.

This dynamic individual will be responsible for second shift (2nd) department operations, employee supervision and will assist in the facilitation of planning for personnel, machines, equipment, and purchasing of supplies/raw materials. Position requires demonstrated leadership, providing coaching, training, mentoring and direction to employees to achieve department and company goals and metrics. Must use considerable judgment to work independently toward resolutions and devise new and modify existing methods, techniques and procedures to meet production requirements. Educate and train personnel in relation to their job functions, as well as maintain established housekeeping practices.

Associate’s Degree is preferred with a minimum of 5 years progressive supervisory experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Inside Lumber Stock Associate

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking individual to join our team as an Inside Lumber Stock Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for stocking and organizing a variety of lumberyard essentials including nails, joist hangers, flashing, and other related materials. Maintaining a clean, well-organized, and fully stocked sales floor is key to supporting both our customers and team. This position will also assist at the lumber desk as needed, helping customers with basic inquiries and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. No prior experience is required— we’re willing to train the right candidate. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are the most important qualifications.

Responsibilities: Stock and replenish lumber-related materials and hardware; Maintain organization and cleanliness of inventory areas; Assist customers and support the lumber desk when needed; and work collaboratively with team members to keep operations running efficiently. Administrative Coordinator

The Opportunity MacDowell, America's first multidisciplinary artist residency program, seeks a part-time Administrative Coordinator (AC) based in Peterborough, NH. Reporting to the Resident Community Manager, the AC completes a small front office team whose primary responsibility is to welcome, orient, and assist resident artists and to model MacDowell's culture of belonging. The AC also manages office equipment and provides administrative support for residency operations.

Key Responsibilities:

-Help orient arriving artists

-Assist with artist communications, requests, and reports

-Receive and respond to visitors, telephone calls, and email inquiries

-Manage office equipment and supplies

-Provide onsite IT support for NH staff

-Support NH-based meetings, events and public programming

Compensation:

$22-26 per hour depending on experience; part-time (~24 hours a week), non-exempt; benefits include generous paid time off and employer contri- butions to 403(b)-retirement plan.

Maintenance Assistant

The Opportunity MacDowell, the nation's oldest multidisciplinary artist residency program, seeks a dependable Maintenance Assistant (MA) to help sustain ideal working and living conditions for ~30 artists in residence. We are looking for a hard-working team player who will center care for artists in their stewardship of studios and common spaces. Hours are 7:30a 3:30p, M-F with occasional evening and weekend work.

Duties vary by season, but include:

P Stewardship of grounds and buildings

P Studio upkeep, including painting, roof repair, light construction and maintenance of heating, plumbing and electrical systems

P Respond to artist requests related to facility needs

P Snow plowing, shoveling, ice control, and road sanding

P Some heavy shovel work and heavy lifting

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years or related experience, strong communication skills, and a warm customer service orientation. Valid driver's license required.

Compensation

Compensation for this nonexempt full-time position starts at $22.00/hour with an overtime pay rate of $33.00/hour. Benefits include regular staff meals; prorated cell phone reimbursement; health and dental insurance; life and short term disability insurance; medical and dependent care FSA; employer contributions to a 403(b)-retirement account; paid family leave; and generous paid time off.

SENIOR BUYER

This position supports department and company’s financial goals, including manufacturing productivity, material cost, and product quality. Develops and maintains strategic supplier relationships. Works closely with support groups to improve cost, quality, delivery and other key performance metrics. Reviews and coordinates complex, one-time, and simple multi-term purchase requests in accordance with NHBB policies utilizing MRP and other various triggers. Accountable for cycle count process and root cause analysis re garding inventory issues. Responsible for direct reports including timecard approval, vacation approval and disciplinary action. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint/Word/Excel) and strong communication and interpersonal skills needed. Must be able to handle multiple projects and daily activities, be organized, resourceful, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Primary Responsibilities

• Specialized Material Sourcing: Execute procurement for aerospace-grade steel plate, bar, and forgings.

• Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain direct contacts with major domestic and international steel mills and service centers.

• Strategic Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations for supply agreement s focusing on cost competitiveness, lead times, and payment terms.

• Market Monitoring: Track global steel market trends, pricing fluctuations, and capacity constraints to inform sourcing strategy.

• Compliance & Quality: Ensure all materials meet rigorous standards such as AS9100, DFARS, and ITAR.

• Risk Mitigation: Support strategies like dual sourcing and proactive inventory planning to protect production schedules.

Specialized Technical Skills

• Aerospace Standards: Deep knowledge of aerospace material specifications and steel mill capabilities.

• Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and material certifications.

• ERP/MRP Proficiency: Experience with systems like SAP, Oracle, or Epicor to manage demand signals and purchase orders.

• Steel Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the U.S. steel industry and international mill landscape. Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business.

• Experience: Typically 5–7 years in procurement, with at least 3 years specifically focused on steel sourcing.

• Certifications: Preferred credentials include CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or APICS.

Belletetes Inc. is seeking a paint specialist for our Ashland, NH location. Responsibilities include assisting customers with colors and all necessary supplies for their projects; mixing and matching colors; maintaining and organizing inventory and supporting the hardware department as needed.

The position also requires working with the hardware department when necessary. The successful candidate must enjoy working with people and have excellent customer service skills. Computer skills are helpful and prior experience in paint or retail is beneficial. Some weekend hours are required.

Lumber & Building Materials Contractor Sales

Our Ashland location is searching for an experienced contractor sales member of our Lumber & Building Materials Contractor Sales Team as well as with our Millwork dept. You will prepare quotes, orders, invoices, special orders and purchase orders. This position will also coordinate deliveries and returns as necessary. You will serve as a resource for the customer, helping them make selections and build their confidence using your product knowledge and excellent customer service. Weekend hours required on a rotating basis.
