ABOUT ME!

My name is Kayla Solis and I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. I previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music, and my lifelong love of arts naturally led me to a career in interior design.

I have always been involved in many forms of art and showcase my passion in design through my driven work ethic. I maintain a steadfast commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, consistently seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skill set. I thrive in challenging tasks and have a desire to produce functional, safe spaces. Interior design has introduced me to a new world of human and environment health.

My goal is to construct beautiful, practical and sustainable designs. Outside of design, I enjoy staying active, reading, and spending time with my husband and our dogs. I’m excited to step into this next chapter of my career and look forward to connecting with others who share my passion for meaningful and impactful design.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The co-working space “Summit’s Center” in Scottsdale, Arizona, serves as a premier co-working space accommodating three distinctive outdoor-themed enterprises. This visionary project was designed with the aim of seamlessly integrating the essence of Arizona’s landscapes indoors, recognizing the pivotal role of mental health and promoting physical activity. Anchored in the principles of human-centered design, Summit’s Center embodies a commitment to prioritizing the well-being of its occupants. By harmonizing elements of comfort, security, and flexibility, the space cultivates an environment conducive to collaborative endeavors and professional growth.

DESIGN CONCEPT:

The business complex was inspired by the majestic Scottsdale mountains and stunning sunsets, with a focus on the indulgence the area offers. The interiors draw inspiration from the sunsets at Camelback Mountain, incorporating local desert plant life to merge the exterior and interior environments. The color scheme reflects the natural hues of the Arizona’s scenery while natural elements like wood, volcanic rock, and leather embody the Arizonan landscape. This design approach creates a unique and rich outdoor presentation.
