A Visit from State Representative Dan Howell
State Representative Dan Howell visited Karis Community Health on May 8 to present us with a Resolution from the House of Representatives in recognition of our tenth anniversary. We were able to give Representative Howell a personal tour of our two facilities. We are so honored to be formally recognized and are so grateful for Representative Howell’s support of our mission.

Since 2015, Karis Dental has served over 4,700 patients, providing over $13 million in services. Since 2021, Karis Medical has served over 1,050 patients, providing over $4.5 million in services. Additionally, our partnership with the Cleveland Lions Club, in 2023, has allowed for over 200 patients to receive vision screenings and four to undergo successful cataract surgery.
This would not be possible without the continued faithful support of our donors. It is through ongoing collaborative efforts that we can truly uplift those in need and change lives.
Karis Dental Expands to Polk County
Earlier this summer, Karis was awarded a $100,000 grant by DentaQuest’s Sun Life Health Access Heroes Foundation. This has allowed us to expand our dental clinic’s capacity to include Polk County residents. On September 9, we will welcome a new dentist to our staff and begin serving Polk County.
This is such a blessing, as we have been praying for the doors to open to serve Polk County for years. This is an amazing opportunity to reach more individuals who previously had no access to essential dental care in their region.
Kentucky Fried Wishes Grant
The KFC Foundation awarded Karis with a Kentucky Fried Wishes Grant. We were able to use these funds to incorporate new digital X-Rays, ensuring the continued utmost quality of care for our patients. We are so grateful for this expansion and for KFC’s support.
