Project - Competition - Masterplan in The Middle East - Was in charge of the 2D masterplan drawing, developed a design of a wadi and a central plaza. - Engaged in meetings with the client, engineers and consultants. - Created 3D build-up diagrams, that explained the activation of the site, massing and program arrangements. My interest in bringing communities together has lead me to the idea of creating a sense of belonging through food sharing. The two illustrations show the difference of how two families might enjoy their food. One being outdoor, smoky style of cooing, and other indoor and quiet. I wanted to make sure every one feels included in the new design proposal, and create something that

FOOD WASTE TO ENERGY Through a meticulously designed process, food scraps from the community are collected on site and transported to a biogas facility, where the organic waste undergoes anaerobic digestion, a natural decomposition process that produces biogas rich in methane. This biogas is then harnessed and utilised as a clean and renewable energy source to power the
building’s common areas and heating systems. This circular approach not only reduces the environmental impact of food waste but also contributes to a more ecofriendly and self-sustaining living environment for the residents, aligning with the broader goal of reducing carbon footprints and promoting a greener future.

POETICS OF HABITATION TRANSIENT LIVES
Location: Somers Town, London Third Year This project seeks to bring together two transient communities of immigrant families who moved to Somers Town, and expats travelling to work at the Francis Crick Institute. The key to uniting these diverse groups is a shifted terrace typology housing design, which incorporates shared common spaces on the ground floor of each unit. These spaces are designed to serve as both communal dining areas and versatile workspaces, promoting a sense of unity, cultural exchange, and a dynamic living environment where residents from various backgrounds come together.

The ground floor of each unit offers shared common dining and work spaces, creating a vibrant and inclusive hub for cultural exchange and collaboration. Notably, expat’s flat features a window/counter opening into the common space, allowing residents to cook and share food, further enhancing the sense of community and togetherness.

ECO BRICK TRANSIENT LIVES
SOMERS TOWN BRICK
Location: Somers Town, London Third Year The idea of the dwelling circulates majorly around private, semi private and public spaces, that communities who live together use. Using brick perfectly corresponds to this concept as it can act as solid, perforated or void (an opening in the wall). Based on the function of the spaces and the environmental needs of the spaces, like light and heating/cooling different types of brick constructions are used accordingly.
The idea of using brick as a main material came from the analysis of the site and looking at the materials of it through making short films about Somers Town. The main building material was brick, as it was one of the most used materials in the 19th century, when the majority of Somers Town was built. The idea
came from the desire of the building to blend into this residential landscape, but also to be environmentally sustainable with locally sourced materials, so the creation of a special type of ‘eco’ brick that would be able to withstand weather conditions and satisfy construction methods came to mind.

The bricks slot into the wooden rods, they alternate between the regular shaped bricks and tilted perforated bricks, which allows for better sun penetration of the facade, without overheating it.The wooden structure would be able to hold the weight of an eco brick as they are much lighter than traditional bricks.

COUNTER NARRATIVE THE SILK HOUSE
Location: Spitalfields, London Second Year This project is investigating the subject of gentrification by studying existing proposals in inner-city areas that are labelled as gentrifying projects. This type of gentrification means that these projects encourage new economic, social and cultural effects on the locality, and displace existing communities by increasing land values and rents to unaffordable levels. The site is located in Spitalfields- area that is classified as gentrifying; My formal approach concerns Bangali culture. For the proposal idea I have chosen to work around the idea of production and retail of textiles. Textiles have been
a very present theme throughout the history of Brick Lane since the 17th century, when the French Huguenots- master weavers occupied the area. Later on, the crafting of textiles has been passed to the Jewish occupants, and finally Bangali community, who occupies Brick Lane to this day.

Work experience
The city’s regeneration project is a comprehensive masterplan that divides into five distinct areas, each with its own architectural style ranging from modernist to heritage to innovative. The project’s commitment to sustainability is a central focus, therefore the inclusion of green spaces throughout all areas is present, from which comes the idea of a ‘garden city’. Modernist zones feature contemporary designs that reflect progress, whereas heritage zones are concerned with the preservation of historical landmarks. The innovative architecture can be found in the futuristic precincts. The
regeneration project is positioned as a transformative initiative set to reshape the cityscape as a strategic combination of diverse architectural styles and a commitment to sustainability.

DESERT HOTEL BJARKE INGELS GROUP (BIG)

The project encompasses a small boutique hotel featuring 10 rooms, operational for 8 months each year, situated near a dormant volcano crater. Distinctive in its approach, the emphasis is on passive outdoor programming and experiences rather than intricate architectural design. The focal point revolves around enhancing the visitor’s experience, offering a spectrum of activities ranging from culinary delights to wellness and cultural engagements. These activities are rooted in the elements of nature— air, fire, water, and earth. The hotel’s design seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings, ensuring a harmonious and immersive environment.
A series of furniture items fitting the theme of the volcano were modelled to be exlusively placed in interior spaces, enchancing the experience of a visitor. Furniture inspired by EWE Studio.

Winning Project Work experience
The project is an art destination on an island that embraces its unique and vibrant natural features. The island is considered a «blank canvas,» with each resort zone designed to celebrate the distinct topography and colors of its surroundings. The design strategy is inspired by the dominant colors of different parts of the island, such as the bright turquoise waters and green landscapes in the North to the deep royal blue beach in the East and the pink-ish dusk hues in the South. The architecture is influenced by the colorful minerals and rock formations, featuring rational shapes inspired by Arabic architecture and the cosmos. The resorts are designed as perfect boxes that cascade, terrace, and stack to harmonize with the unique landscapes, creating a vibrant spectrum of experiences across the island. The entire project is connected by a vibrant central landscape serving as an art link for inspiring and art installations.

My primary focus was to explore innovative ways in which art could seamlessly integrate with both the architecture and the landscape, shaping a cohesive and immersive experience. I identified various artistic elements, such as sculptures and installations, that could be harmoniously blended into the natural surroundings. Additionally, I envisioned and proposed the incorporation of diverse art methods, including murals, installations, and immersive art, strategically woven into the architectural fabric of the island. The goal was to establish a symbiotic relationship between art and the island’s design, creating a visually stunning and holistic environment for residents and visitors alike.
