1 cup white (granulated) sugar
1 cup light brown sugar packed
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp sea salt***
2 cups chocolate chips (or chunks, or chopped chocolate)
Directions
Preheatovento375degreesF.Lineabakingpanwithparchmentpaperand setaside
Inaseparatebowlmixflour,bakingsoda,salt,bakingpowder.Setaside. Creamtogetherbutterandsugarsuntilcombined Beatineggsandvanillauntilfluffy.
Mixinthedryingredientsuntilcombined Add12ozpackageofchocolatechipsandmixwell.
Roll2-3TBS(dependingonhowlargeyoulikeyourcookies)ofdoughata timeintoballsandplacethemevenlyspacedonyourpreparedcookie sheets.(alternately,useasmallcookiescooptomakeyourcookies).
Bakeinpreheatedovenforapproximately8-10minutesTakethemout whentheyarejustBARELYstartingtoturnbrown.
Letthemsitonthebakingpanfor2minutesbeforeremovingtocooling rack.

1-½cup all-purpose flour
½cupspowderedsugar
Preheatoven to 350 degrees. Grease lightcoloredbaking sheets withnon-stickcooking spray andsetaside. In a large bowl, cream butter andsugar together until lightandfluffy. Whip in vanilla, egg, lemon zest, andjuice. Scrape sides andmix again. Stir in all dry ingredients slowly untiljustcombined, excluding thepowderedsugar. Scrape sides ofbowlandmix again briefly. Pourpowderedsugar onto a largeplate. Rolla heaping teaspoon ofdoughinto a ballandroll inpowderedsugar. Place on baking sheetand repeatwithremaining dough. Bake for 9-11minutes or until bottoms begin to barely brown andcookies lookmatte {notmelty or shiny}. Remove from oven andcoolcookies about3minutes before transferring to cooling rack.
Ifusing a non-stickdarker baking tray, reduce baking time by about2minutes.
