The 1967 Hi Lo is dedicated to Mr. Minthorn. Although Mr. Minthorn has been at Mingus only two years, the time he has given to his students might almost come to a decade. He has given up spare hours for this book-taking pictures on Friday and Saturday nights, super vising the staff of their Sunday projects, and completing all of the artwork.

Band The flashing Marauder Band performed whatever the occasion, rain or shine. At football games, at basketball games, at pep rallies, Our Band played well. Wherever the Band traveled, it represented Mingus Union High School in a fine manner.

Cheerleaders To the cheerleaders fell the task of getting all the people behind our team. Accomplishing this put them constantly on the move, presiding over pep rallies and rooting for Victory. They boosted morale and encouraged the team. With the help of Miss LaVering and her patience, the Cheerleaders kept the spirit and whenever possible, she drove the Cheerleaders to away games to cheer our boys on to Victory.

Marauders On The Move The Mingus Union Marauders, after playing for the B North title just two years ago, fielded a team that played for the A North title. The amazing Marauders surprised students and sports writers as they ended with a 6-2-1 record and a second slot in the division. As the Marauders won, the spirit boomed, and caravans chased them all over the state. Even though they were downed by Kingman in the title game, the students, and players never lost pride in their team.

The Marauder basketbailers had a good season, and they earned a second place in the division. Even though they beat the champs once, they couldn't find a basket when they needed it most. The 1967 basketball team upheld the Mingus tradition in a fine way--bringing the smallest Class A school in the state to the top.
