“I am one of the eight Welcome Home recipients. I am a full-time mom, a UF employee, and a fulltime college student currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in human services I was awarded $20,000 from JWB for the down payment on my first home, which helped make homeownership possible for me
In addition to the $20,000 Welcome Home award, I was also part of the HomeStep program, an initiative through JWB that provides $100 per month toward closing costs when rent is paid on time. Because of this program, I was able to walk away from closing with no out-of-pocket closing costs This allowed me to use the money I saved to repair my new home and purchase furniture” Welcome Home Fund recipient, Latesha Jones, has officially become a homeowner!
