Each woman, each story, each voice matters! Every year, we dedicate the May/June issue to inspirational women. We celebrate Mother’s Day by featuring influential women who are igniting change and supporting others who have made a powerful call to return to what matters: truth, action, and community. Women’s empowerment is about making women equal members of our society—no more, no less. Drishti Media Group is committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity. In this special issue, we celebrate and recognize the achievements of professional women, including entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and community leaders. We spotlight thirty influential women from diverse backgrounds, addressing systemic racism, dismantling barriers, embracing courage and authenticity, and leaving a legacy of strength as they lead with purpose. This issue aims to empower women to rediscover their voices and assert their power. In an increasingly fragile world, choosing power is a quiet revolution. You will also explore how women reject hustle culture, embrace boundaries, and pursue sustainable ambition.
In this exclusive cover feature, Juggy Sihota, Senior Vice President at TELUS, who leads with impact, innovation, and intention, holds one of the most strategically influential roles in Canadian business today. Her mentorship has shaped a new generation of executives and changemakers, particularly women and underrepresented leaders.
Moreover, an interesting article on menopause by Dr. Fleury, a naturopathic doctor, and arthritis by Carleen Pauliuk, Western Canada Vice President of the Arthritis Society Canada.
While flipping through the pages, don’t miss the amazing discount offers from our advertisers. This issue would not have been possible without the support of Allure Ventures Inc. and Pure Integrative Pharmacy, and we are truly grateful for their partnership.

I wrote poetry about my experiences and ideas relating to misogyny, feminism, politics, my challenges with mental health, impostor syndrome, cultural conditioning, and more. I recorded my spoken words and shared them on YouTube and social media. This practice exposed me to another level of vulnerability.”
BY J. M. LEE
Taslim Samji is a multi-disciplinary artist, curator, and writer. From childhood, she knew she was destined for more. Creativity is her calling, but cultural expectations sti ed it. Growing up in a traditional South Asian household, she gradually understood her role as a girl and the limitations that came with it. Early on, she questioned her parents and the cultural expectations placed on her. She felt trapped in a su ocating pattern.
“My mother struggled with cultural expectations. As new immigrants, my

er 25 years in practice as a Naturopathic Doctor, I observed early on that menopause and perimeno pause is not a disease. It is an ampli cation.
An ampli cation of what’s already been brewing: the gut issues, the emotional stress, the nutrient depletion, the in ammation, the over-functioning and under-nourishing.
ings that felt manageable before now feel overwhelming — and for many women, it’s the rst time they can no longer “push through.”
In my practice, I hear it all the time: “I haven’t changed anything — not how I eat or exercise — and all of a sudden, I don’t recognize myself.”
is is the real story of perimenopause and menopause. And I’ve been working in the solutions for over 25 years.
I’ve spent my entire career helping women uncover the root causes behind their symptoms—symptoms that were too o en dismissed or misdiagnosed. I’ve worked through them not just as adoctor, but also as a mother, a daughter, a sister, a partner. I know what it feels like to hold it all together, to power through no matter what.
at’s why I wrote my book, Master Your Moods for Menopause and Perimenopause — to map out the clinical patterns I’ve seen again and again, and to o er real, practical solutions rooted in science, systems biology, and lived experience.
It’s also why I created e Sludge® — a gut health supplement developed out of necessity. I needed something for my patients that helped to address the root of in ammation, sluggish detoxi cation, and brain fog at the level of the microbiome. Nothing on the market addressed this in a way I needed in my clinic—so I developed it myself.
My vision is bold but clear: To help women feel more like themselves again — through gut-based, hormone-aware, evidence based and emotionally intelligent care.
is is not about managing decline. is is about reclaiming your clarity, your energy, your joy, and your vitality — not just so you can survive this chapter, but so you can expand beyond it.
If something inside you is saying, “ is isn’t just aging — this is deeper,” I invite you to begin with my MasterYourMidlife™ quiz. It’s a rst step toward something better.
