CURRENT CHALLENGES FOR SOF OPERATORS The EUD (End User Deivice) is an essential part of the SOF kit. To better understand what operators need in the field, we asked end users where their current setup falls short, and what could be improved. Three key challenges stood out: Rapid Connection - Quick Disconnect (QD) cables work well, but some operational situations call for faster connect and disconnect capability. USB Protection - The device USB port is a common failure point and needs stronger protection in demanding environments. Mass Provisioning - Managing multiple team devices between missions can be challenging, especially when power and data needs are time sensitive. These challenges defined the mission for the development of VELOX ecosystem.
