Before starting his own firm, Monteverde worked as a partner and chair of the Mergers and Acquisitions Litigation Department at Faruqi & Faruqi LLP for six years, from 2010 to 2016

A $17 4 million cash settlement was obtained in Re Envision Healthcare Corp in 2021 For Riche v Pappas, a U S -based geothermal buyout, a $6 5 million cash settlement was secured
In Re Hansen Medical, Inc , a shareholder litigation with Monteverde as lead, he obtained a $7.5 million post-close cash settlement. As co-lead counsel in Re Jefferies Group, Inc. Shareholders Litigation, a $70 million post-close settlement was achieved.
Monteverde is also the proud architect who improved the law for shareholders pursuing claims under Section 14(e) of the Exchange Act in the 9th Circuit In a significant victory in Varjabedian v Emulex Corp , 888 F3d 399 (9th Cir 2018), Monteverde created a 5 to 1 circuit split that lowered the standard of liability under Section 14(e) of the Exchange Act in the Ninth Circuit and then preserved this victory by obtaining dismissal of a writ of certiorari as improvidently granted at the United States Supreme Court Emulex Corp v Varjabedian, 139 S Ct 1407 (2019)
