Spurred on by the concept of community stewardship and the nuances of creating great places, Creating Healthy Communities takes a look at two neighborhood case studies established over 10 years ago where new communities today are thriving: Graylingwell Park, Chichester and Cholsey Meadows, South Oxfordshire.
We wanted to see whether the visions of a thriving community life had materialised and whether community facilities and civic spaces were well used and valued by residents. By speaking to people living and working there, our aim was to learn about what had happened after the planners, designers and developers left.
