Each short episode of the Set Free Journey was drawn from videos shot at the Set Free Global Summit conducted April 4-7, 2016 in Greensboro, North Carolina. The summit was hosted by the Josh McDowell Ministry and Covenant Eyes. Over 850 Christian leaders gathered to discuss solutions to the Internet porn crisis within the church and the culture. Dr. Ted Roberts Ted is a former pastor and the founder of Pure Desire Ministries of Gresham, Oregon. He has authored twelve books that includes the bestseller Pure Desire and the addiction recovery manual Seven Pillars of Freedom.
Dr. Donald Hilton Dr. Hilton is Professor of Neurosurgery, University of Texas Medical School. He is author of the book He Restoreth My Soul, which explores the effects of pornography on the brain and the spiritual paradigms of healing.
Dr. William Struthers Dr. Struthers is a neuroscientist and Professor of Psychology at Wheaton College of Wheaton, Illinois. He has conducted extensive research on how using pornography negatively impacts a person’s nervous system and how it alters the brain.
Dr. Mary Anne Layden Dr. Layden is a psychotherapist and Director of Education at the Center for Cognitive Therapy at the University of Pennsylvania. Her studies have revealed the extensive psychological, emotional, and relational damage porn use can have on a person.
Dawn Hawkins Dawn is the Executive Director of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation. She has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of the pandemic of harm from pornography.
