Career Explorations is your chance to try out a career path that interests you and see what it’s like to be a student at Johnson & Wales. You’ll spend your time living on campus and learning in our state-of-the-art labs with our expert faculty. Choose a program that matches your interests — each one offers interactive projects and sessions that mimic what JWU students get to do in the classroom every day.

Programs
Animal Science Step into the role of a veterinary professional by working with real animals to develop clinical skills like bandaging, venipuncture and suturing. You’ll also take part in guided dissections to learn more about animal anatomy.
Criminal Justice Participate in mock scenarios to discover how to conduct a covert police surveillance operation, process a crime scene and perform a drug search investigation through interactive experiences in our crime labs and locations around campus. Food Innovation & Technology Sharpen your skills in culinary and baking labs and learn the social and environmental impact of food with our industry-experienced chefs.
Design Dive into the world of vector drawing and digital imaging to create a logo for your very own streetwear brand. Bring your ideas to life using digital tools that real designers use, and get the chance to refine your skills. Health & Wellness Practice how to make a difference in the health of others through improving physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Explore our learning labs and sample fields of study from psychology, public health, dietetics and applied nutrition. Hospitality Visit local venues and learn about the different sectors of the hospitality industry such as hotels, tourism, professional sports event management, event planning and more.
