JWUFYI
Johnson & Wales University
We’re one of the first universities in the country to offer three-year bachelor’s degrees.
Our career-focused three-year degrees provide students with a more affordable path to graduation. Same as a four-year degree: • Normal course load each semester (no summer courses required, 90-96 total credits) • Traditional college experience (clubs, athletics) • Fully accredited (recognized by employers)
We’re leaders in experiential education.
Our Reimagining Experiential & Applied Learning (REAL) approach to education brings experiential learning into EVERY SINGLE COURSE you take at JWU. Instead of traditional lectures, students learn through active lessons that can include field work, simulations, labs, field trips and more. Students take part in exciting, real-world learning opportunities that truly prepare them for their chosen field.
Different than a four-year degree: • Only pay for three years of college • Only take gen ed and major-focused courses (skip the electives) • Graduate a year early
Families with household incomes below $200,000 may qualify for grant and scholarship packages covering 70% to 100% of tuition. We call it the JWU Pledge. Learn more at jwu.edu/thepledge.
In 2023-24, our students completed 1,260 internships. The majority of JWU student internships were paid opportunities. A few JWU partners our students have worked with: • Boston Red Sox • CVS Health • Disney • ESPN Radio • FM Global • Hasbro
98% of on-campus students receive institutional financial aid.
• IGT
