La Trinidad, Benguet - The much-awaited Strawberry Festival was celebrated on March 6 -31, 2023, for this year’s celebration with the theme, “A Festival for recovery: Building a Brighter Future from Adversities.”

Strawberry Festival has made a comeback after three years of hiatus as caused by the pandemic. This year’s celebration featured multiple events for the community to showcase talents, skills, local products, and the highlight of the festival – the strawberries. The Baguio Anti-Squatting and Illegal Structures (BASIS) movement demolished houses in Teachers Camp on April 9th to inspect and stop unauthorized constructions. BASIS aims to combat illegal structures in the area and ensure compliance with local regulations.
