Start your
startup mode and perform a clean install
1. Create a backup copy of your company file and then note the QuickBooks license number and product information from the account management portal.
2. Next, start your system in Selective startup mode by following the steps listed below:
l Tap the Windows + R keys on your keyboard at the same time to open the Run box.
l Once the Run box opens, type MSConfig and click the OK button.
l Head to the General tab, click Selective startup and Load system services.
l From the Services menu, select the Hide all Microsoft services box and click the Disable all button.
l Mark the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox, scroll the list of services and check if the Windows Installer checkbox is selected.
l Click OK. When the System Configuration window and click Restart.
3. Do a clean install of QuickBooks. Once you are done, restart your system in Normal startup mode.
