Here is: Who we are:
Climate Intelligence (Clintel) is an independent foundation informing people about climate change and climate policies. Clintel was founded in 2019 by emeritus professor of geophysics Guus Berkhout and science journalist Marcel Crok. Clintel’s main objective is to generate knowledge and understanding of the causes and effects of climate change as well as the effects of climate policy on the economy and the environment. To this end:
1. The Foundation tries to communicate objectively and transparently to the general public what facts are available about climate change and climate policy and also where facts turn into assumptions and predictions.
2. The Foundation conducts and stimulates a public debate about this and carries out investigative reporting in this field.
3. The Foundation wants to function as an international meeting place for scientists with different views on climate change and climate policy.
4. The Foundation will also carry out or finance its own scientific research into climate change and climate policy.
Clintel wants to take the role of independent ‘climate watchdog’, both in the field of climate science and climate policy.
World
Climate Declaration
The climate view of Clintel can be easily summarized as: There is no climate emergency. Guus Berkhout therefore initiated the World Climate Declaration, a one-page summary of the view of many climate realists in the world. The Declaration is a living document that is frequently changed based on input from all its ambassadors and other experts. The most up-todate version of both the Declaration and the list of signatories can be found here.

● Sarepta’s mug
In a Norwegian context, a "Sarepta mug" most likely refers to a historical object related to the former Sarepta mission station in Finnmark, Norway. However, the name Sarepta itself has a much older, Biblical origin.
Sarepta mission in Norway
● Establishment: The Sarepta mission station was established in 1845 in the village of Sør-Tverrfjord in Finnmark, northern Norway.
● Purpose: It served as a center for the Lutheran mission among the Sami people and fishermen in the area. It was founded by the Norwegian Mission Society.
● A "Sarepta mug": A mug from this time would be a historical piece of memorabilia. Given the mission's Christian focus, it might be a cup used for communion or for daily use at the station.
Biblical meaning of Sarepta
The name Sarepta, in turn, originates from the Bible, which holds the primary meaning of the name.
● Old Testament: In the Old Testament, the Hebrew name
was Zarephath, a Phoenician town between Tyre and Sidon. The name meant "refining shop" or "smelting workshop".
● Story of Elijah: According to the Book of Kings, the prophet Elijah lodged with a poor widow in Zarephath (Sarepta) during a severe drought and famine. The widow was almost out of food, but due to her faith, her jar of flour and jug of oil did not run dry.
● New Testament: The town is also mentioned by Jesus in the Gospel of Luke, where he refers to the "widow of Sarepta".
A mug with the name "Sarepta" would, therefore, link to this Biblical story of divine provision in a time of scarcity, which is a powerful message for a mission station working in a harsh environment.
