The myheart app is A simple yet effective app that aims to spread awareness about CVD and help assess who is at risk. This app’s purpose is to try to try minimize the damage done by CVD, as even affecting 1% would mean thousands of lives.
Heart disease is the current leading cause of death worldwide, it affects millions of people annually, especially those in impoverished areas. Approximately 80% of the deaths caused by heart are disease are preventable and over two thirds happen in middle to low-income areas.
The aim of this project is to propose a plan that can impact the total death toll made by heart disease, by proposing a viable alternative to the current practices used in the field of heart disease prevention. After reviewing the recent literature and assessing the situation on the individual level in terms of patient experience, a deduction can be made that the factors causing such large numbers of heart disease deaths are factors associated with the current prevention techniques, including lack of education, awareness and adaptability.
The myheart app will allow patients to access information that would have been only available to them after hours and hours of rigorous research. if by using this App, we could benefit one person out of every 10 possible candidates at risk of SCD, we will have a measurable success and can impact the incidence of premature death of the overall total UK population SCD mortality at large.

"I believe that the issue is with the healthcare system because most of the advancements are by doctors for doctors, and do not focus on the patients’ experience, which is why I believe an outside opinion would be very beneficial"

"I think that patients don’t take the matter of CVD very seriously as they don’t understand how serious the consequences can be. Which I feel might be the result of lack of knowledge and having other worries than their health"

"In my opinion, the issue is that nothing is being done to prevent it, everyone waits until it becomes an issue to find a solution. If we put half the effort in finding ways into prevention techniques, we’d find much better results"
Overall: Treatment associated with a CAD risk reduction of 76% HR 0.24 (95%CI 0.18-0.30), p<0.001 Versmissen J, et al BMJ 2008;337:a2423
The Double Diamond thinking process was used in the proposal of the solution provided.
Over three quarters of CVD related deaths happen in low-income areas
There are more than 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in the UK each year, with a survival rate of less than 10%
People with a family history of coronary heart disease are much more likely to develop vascular dementia. An estimated 80% of CVD related deaths can be preventable.
I can conclude that what is missing is good quality accessible information to the public
Note:
And by by providing this app I am able to provide people with a viable risk assessment tool that would inform them of their risk

One of the major improvements that ca be done in the cereal industry is the packaging, the material, the design, the interaction. All aspects could see improvement, which I think will definetly happen in the near future.
Breakfast trends have been leaning towards healthier eating habits.
Trends of sustainability gave been on the rise in the food industry.
Technology is increasingly becoming more integrated into everyday life.
“ I really loved cereal growing up, I used to enjoy the little games and toys, I feel kids today have lost that feeling of excitement”
“I enjoy the occasional bowl of cereal in the morning or evening, I just feel like they have become boring these days. They were much more fun when I was a kid”
“Cereal and breakfast don’t mean that much to me, however, I am interested in snacks.”
In the next 10 years, technology will be much more integrated into our life. Augmented reality is increasingly becoming more useful in everyday life. In terms of breakfast, The Next big thing has to be Healthy, effiecient and convenient. Breakfast is a big part of A kid’s day and should energise them, physically and mentally. This is something Kellogg’s has been doing for decades and Hopefully will keep doing in the future.

This installation is located in the heart of the outdoor space of the new MMU Science and Engineering Building by BDP architects. The aim of this project is to provide a new way for the public to experience outdoor furniture and interact with it in a more meaningful way. The furniture found the streets of the UK have become very standardized, which is very beneficial in manufacturing and cost, however it has lost the users experience.
Ethnographic study showing how people use public seating. The general trend was that most of these installations are practical and functional, with no user experience design taken into consideration. This led to identification of the user that this project will be geared towards and that is the curious and anyone who stops to question and explore their surrounding rather than just ignoring everything around them. The goal is to invite the inattentive to try and experience new things, which was the reason that the project had to be attractive yet seems of out of the ordinary.
Abstract Sketches developing into defined forms
The aim of my project is to create a space for the sick to recover and promote quality of life through the prevention and control of disease, injury, and disability. The purpose of my design is to provide a safe space for people with chronic illness who need a longer period of time to recover, in a comfortable and peaceful atmosphere, which is usually not the case in hospitals where one feels anxious and stressed, and the general mood is grim. The design will be geared towards bringing light in and focus on relaxation and healing.
Traffic Level in the area is Medium, tends to rise during the working hours. This road is usually used by big trucks and shipments, as it is direct to the port and karantina.

This is a large grey granite building, where the research and investigation laboratories are concentrated. This building is the result of various additions and adaptations. all the staff training facilities and the improvised museum, displaying only a small part of the collection. The rest of the ever-expanding collection is in storage, in the basement. Another small building, which is isolated, as if pushed into a corner, to the northeast, serves as accommodation.
the exterior are a number of elevated gardens and terraces that bring nature up to the patient level.
German Cancer Research Centre / Concept - DESIGN

The six-storey building – including two basement floors – is divided by two large atria, which are connected at ground floor level. Beginning at the main entrance, visitors are led in this way to the treatment areas for patients in the rear part of the building. There the entrance area merges into a broad staircase with seating steps, which leads to the second basement floor.
The strategy to get this objective was to use three elements in the composition of the design (colored tiles, perforated walls, and glass), showing three different levels of opacity. This shape and the combination of these materials allow the identification of this complex system as a unit.
My vision for this project was to create a neutral piece with underlined edges and a solid appearance, as a counterpoint to the figurative routine of the typical hospital. It was an opportunity to add a dose of excitement into the otherwise dull and mute enviroment.

This project’s aim is to find a solution for the lack of public libraries in Bierut, Specifically Mar Mikhael area, Taking into consideration that during the year 2020 the world has changed so much,. Appropriate measures and solutions to everyday problems had to be tackled. In this project I tackle the challenge of creating a public space amidst a Virus, economic crisis, and port explosion.
View of interior Circulation and di erent levels
Interior Views showing the circulation and the seating, as well as the horizontal and vertical elements
A platform created to bene t from the height the building, and create a space that allows plenty of natural light too enter, and encourages social distancing, by providing seperate spaces for studying, but that still gives the feeling a public space. a cohesion between public and private. Seperating bookshelves facilitate easy acces to the material while also being functional, As well as having to staircases in order to maximize the ow of circulation.
Placing the circulation at di erent height allows for a playful interaction, while also ful lling the purpose of social distancing. Having many open spaces lead to less crowding and more of a calm relaxing atmosphere, which i believe everyone needs after the year we have been through. This project allows for a safe space es for students to study, for people to read, and to enjoy some quiet time, especially after many have lost these quiet spaces at home after the beirut explosion.
Elarged areas of the space in order to show specific details, and functions of the project. First space is the cafeteria area, showing the light and open space, while the second area shows the street view where an intervention happens at the level of the sidewalk, in order to engage more people. while the third area is a study booth created to minimise occupied space while maximising privacy and social dis-tancing.
