WELCOME DEAR CLIENTS AND BUSINESS PARTNERS, WELCOME TO THE INAUGURAL JLG AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND E-BOOK, INSIGHT. THIS E-BOOK WILL BE PRODUCED REGULARLY AND PROVIDES THE JLG ANZ BUSINESS WITH A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO RECONNECT WITH EXISTING AND PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS AS WE GRADUALLY EXIT FROM THE COVID-19 SITUATION. It goes without saying that the last several months have been challenging from a general health and business perspective, but with the wider economy now slowly reopening, we are seeing renewed activity levels and growing interest in JLG’s access equipment range and associated support services. Despite the recent challenges, at JLG we’ve remained extremely optimistic about the future with an extensive new product release program now in full swing, providing our customers with the latest technologies and innovations to keep our range at the front of the pack. A recent addition to the product line-up is our ‘Power Tower’ low level access equipment range (EcoLifts), which has been very well received by the market. Similarly, we envisage a strong reception to our other new models entering the market including Extra capacity boomlifts, an ES1330 electric outdoor rated scissor and full range of compact crawlers to name a few. Of course product is only one aspect of the JLG customer offer, properly supporting these products is just as important – JLG’s 200 plus team working from over 20 locations, along with mobile service technicians, have the experience and customer-centric philosophy to ensure ownership of JLG equipment is enjoyable and hassle-free. Going forward we will be working towards building stronger ties with our customers by learning more about your requirements. The more educated we are as to your needs, the better our support and recommendations to achieve our goal to be your partner of choice. As a company, we are also tremendously proud to retain a manufacturing base in Port Macquarie, NSW. It is from this facility that our lighting tower and trailer range are manufactured – the site also houses our Industry leading ‘Technical Support’ division as well as a general maintenance and service centre. Our local presence is complemented with manufacturing locations in North America, Europe and Asia, ensuring efficient supply of the JLG range all over the globe. The New JLG Lighting Tower Range The bright new idea in lighting, JLG’s Metro and LED Mine Series II Lighting Towers offer a host of benefits to make light work of night projects. HELP PREVENT CORONAVIRUS EXPOSURE
BY PROPERLY CLEANING EQUIPMENT
With the onset and spread of coronavirus, heavy equipment cleaning has taken on a new importance. By properly cleaning your machines after each use, you can help protect customers and staff from exposure. The equipment washing guidelines in this post are meant to help you safely disinfect machines while maintaining the integrity of the units.
Recently, we’ve been getting a lot of questions about how to protect yourself from coronavirus through proper machine cleaning methods of your lift equipment. Before cleaning anything, make sure you read and understand all directions and hazards found and described on the labels and material safety data sheet of any chemical you plan to use. Ensure the cleaning agent/chemical is recommended for use on the intended surfaces. Because of the breadth of cleaning chemicals and tools, we can’t speak to the long-term effects of various cleaning agents on any specific machine components.

CLEANING MONITORS & EQUIPMENT DISPLAYS
Help protect the health of your customers and staff by cleaning your machines between every use with the right chemicals and tools. To minimise any adverse effects on machine components during cleaning, we recommend using the following types of products:
When considering how to stay safe from coronavirus, it’s important to remember to clean monitors and displays that are in close proximity to equipment operators. These areas of your equipment require additional precautions. For example, don’t scrub or use brushes on the display window, and avoid the use of abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the display window. We recommend the following methods for cleaning heavy equipment displays:
• Soap and water, used per Health Organisation Guidelines • 70% isopropyl alcohol, such as isopropanol with a pre-packaged wipe cloth • Non-bleach disinfecting wipes (preferred) or spray We recommend avoiding the following products to prevent damage to sensitive components: • Solvent-based solutions
1. Turn the machine off 2. Use a fresh sponge or a soft cloth to clean the display with a mild soap or detergent, or with products deemed safe for monitors and displays 3. To avoid water spots, dry the display with a chamois or clean towel
