Metrix Group is proud of the Cradle Mountain Gateway project, located in Tasmania, Australia, an innovative tribute to architectural and artistic excellence. A one-of-a-kind design, made from 5 interlocking buildings that are topped with perforated metal panels, it brings together functionality and artistry for a memorable experience.
The Cradle Mountain Gateway project stands out for its spectacular design. The five structures are joined together by cedar walkways with slate walls running through the center of each building.
The eye-catching exterior is composed of perforated metal panels which provide ventilation and shade, making the area more pleasant even on hot days.
From the metal walkways, you can see 2D image Perf™ world map represented at a large scale. This product blends seamlessly with the façade and adds an aesthetic appeal. At night, the buildings come alive as their stainless-steel features are illuminated in complimentary colours. Additionally, bands of skylights allow you to enjoy nature's beauty even when indoors.
In addition to providing aesthetic appeal, the perforated metal used in this project serves an important practical purpose as well. It allows natural light to enter the building while still keeping the inside cool during summer months. That emphasises the fact that this structure was created with both form and function in mind – a testament to its creators’ commitment to excellence.
