Biography of Jiten Mehta
Jiten Mehta is a Maryland-based accountant with more than three decades of experience in tax preparation, financial reporting, and advisory services. He earned his law degree from the Government Law College in Mumbai and became a Chartered Accountant through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is registered with the Maryland Board of Public Accountancy and has supported both individuals and businesses across industries. Since 2012, he has provided financial services through My Tax Accounting & Business Service, LLC, where he continues to offer clients reliable guidance in their financial matters.
Educational Background His academic journey began in Mumbai, where he pursued both law and accountancy. In 1982, he enrolled at the Government Law College, one of India’s oldest legal schools, and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1987. During his legal studies, he became increasingly interested in financial systems, which led him to seek further qualifications. He went on to earn the designation of Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in Mumbai. His commitment to education did not end there. After moving to the United States, he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of Baltimore. In addition, he attended several courses at the University of the District of Columbia to enhance his professional skills further.
