FEASIBILITY STUDY
In May 2022, the City of Grand Forks and the Grand Forks Park District hired national consulting firm BerryDunn to determine the overall feasibility of the Grand Forks Indoor Multi-Sports Facility & Indoor Aquatic Facility.
SURVEY RESULTS
More than half of those surveyed believe the building of facilities with indoor turf, courts, or a competitive pool is “very important” or “extremely important” for the community.
STUDY FINDINGS
The study identified community interest and need to develop an indoor aquatic facility to host lessons, open swimming, competitive swim team practices, and swim meets, and there was also need for an indoor sports facility to host soccer, football, lacrosse, running, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, sports training, baseball, softball, and more.
