Community Building Through Tenant-Led Committees
Tikva Housing is launching tenant led committees to strengthen social connection and community engagement among residents. With the support of a consultant, the initiative will develop policies, organize events, and empower tenants to take leadership roles. This approach fosters a stronger sense of belonging and shared ownership within Tikva’s housing communities.

Kitchen Renovations and Converting
to BCK
Congregation Beth Israel is renovating and upgrading its kitchen to meet BCK kosher standards, making it fully accessible for community use. Improvements include kitchen renovations, new dairy dishes, a dedicated dairy dishwasher, and updated ovens and warmers. The project ensures the kitchen can support a wide range of programs and gatherings with full kashrut compliance.
VANCOUVER JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL
Vancouver Jewish Film Festival — Seniors Edition
The Vancouver Jewish Film Festival’s Seniors Edition is a year long outreach initiative designed to reduce social isolation among seniors. Through monthly Jewish themed film screenings and facilitated social activities held at the Peretz Centre, the program creates opportunities for connection, conversation, and cultural engagement in partnership with local organizations.
